I have not seen Beechwood play this year,but I do know they have a rich football tradition.I have seen Pikeville play 4 games this year.They are a very entertaining team to watch.Quick,fast,and stout.This team could possibly be the best team in the state for their size.From what I understand Beechwood is bigger and just as fast or faster.I cannot predict who will win,but I will say this.It will take a very good 1A football team to beat Pikeville.(I know guys,look who they play)Good luck to both teams and all the mountain teams.Thanks and be safe this weekend.

Pikeville probably has a 5 to 6 hour drive.looks like a lot of people than cannot get off work will miss the game.i know you cant satisfy everyone but it does look like beechwood and Pikeville did get the worst end of the game change.

this year i have been fortunate to watch 8 high school football games on Friday nights.6 out of the 8 games i saw hazard play 2 times,paintsville 2 times,and Pikeville 2 times.all 3 very fine football teams.all very entertaining to watch.i would of liked to seen a game between Paintsville and hazard.i always felt like the only difference in these 2 teams was kash daniels.now for the Pikeville and Paintsville game.jmo the team with the fewest turnovers and fewest penalties will win this game.but i will also say i think Paintsville will have to control the amount of time that pikevilles offense stays on the field.if they don't do this one thing i think Paintsville chance of winning is small.good luck to both teams and hopefully no injuries.

I don't know if you will ever see a more physical game than the Pikeville and Paintsville game.talk about smash mouth football.very physical game where both teams were dead tired at the end of the game.hopefully no injuries and good luck to both teams

congrats to the pirates.they will be fine come playoff time.i know penalties and turnovers is part of the game but to have that many turnovers and still win is pretty impressive.good luck to all teams the rest of the season.

I knew belfry must of had several turnovers for the score to be what it was.the reason I say this is their special teams and kicking game is awesome.good luck to you pirates the rest of the season because good times is getting ready to happen.

too many penalties for Pikeville.this kept hazard in the game for a while.pikeville will have to cut down on penalties at playoff time,if not they will loose.i will say hazard is a very good football team.jmo the only defference in hazard and Paintsville is cash daniels.hopefully no injuries and good luck to all teams the rest of the season.

Congrats to Belfry. What a kicking game they have. All night long on kickoffs belfry kicked the ball in the end zone not allowing Pikeville to run it out (this put a dagger in Pikeville big time), plus Belfry kicked 2 long field goals (very impressive) The most under rated player on Pikeville's team is #34 Blake Charles. Seems like he was in on all tackles all night long. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season. There is a very good chance both teams could end up in Bowling Green this year.

out of all the top ten 1a schools Pikeville is probably the smallest in size.they do make up for some of this with speed and quickness but it may hurt them at playoff time.the belfry game should tell us about this years Pikeville team.good luck to all teams with no injuries

Pikeville must play a near perfect game.no turnovers and they must keep belfrys offense off the field.

I think the only thing that may hurt Pikeville by playoff time is their size.pound for pound imo there is not a better football team in the state than Pikeville.they are small(except for pugh)but they are quick,fast,physical and have speed to burn.good luck to all teams with no injuries.
