Raceland needs to recover quickly from the disappointing loss to rival Fairview. That loss will almost surely drop them from last week's #4 ranking. They face an even tougher test this week as they travel to Paintsville. This game has become a must win game for Raceland. They need to prove to themselves and their fans that they can play with the top teams in 1A and contend for a state title. Paintsville certainly fits the bill as a top team. They are at the top of the heap when it comes to favorites to win a title in 1A. Who wins this battle? What is the game plan for each team? Does either team have a matchup advantage in one area over the other?

With 2 weeks of preparation and at home, you have to take Paintsville.

I picked Paintsville in the poll but I do believe Raceland can win this one. For me this comes down to "can you block Kash Daniel?" which is much easier said than done. The Rams will also have to bring their best defensive efforts to keep this low scoring. If they allow the Tigers to put up big numbers I don't see the Ram offense being able to keep pace.

I think two weeks of film prep, practice prep, and healing may make a Paintsville win inevitable

 

I said earlier in the year the Rams would win this and I'm sticking to it, but the two teams will meet again. This was just for a right to host the second game.

Raceland (5-3/0-1)travels to Paintsville (8-0/1-0) this Friday to take on the top rated (in some polls) /and Undefeated Tigers.

The Rams are coning into this one stinging from an upset at the hands of Fairview last Friday. Are the Rams destined to a no win district season or do they rebound and get a Win that would throw their three team district in a three way tie and the districts 1 seed determined by the computer / tie breaking system ? (which I honestly don't know what I consist of ? ) ....Paintsville will No Doubt be a Heavy Favorite.

:lol2: I'm not sure if they like or dislike us but they are definately interested. They may be checking to see if the East C. fan / fans that post will say anything bad about them. :idunno: Who knows ? All are welcome.

I guess the real question on this game will be if the Raceland kids have Quit or even want to play ? They sure didn't seem to want it more than their opponent last Friday. (and that's the first time I have ask that or even it in Years on here) and that's what bothers me.

Raceland has under achieved all season and just took a good shot on the chin from a team the just expected too roll over and let them win but that didn't happen..

 

Raceland needs to refocus and realize nothing will be handed from here on out and get to playing football like they should.

 

You got Christian and Synder and other capable backs so put it on there shoulders and let them carry you. I wouldn't hold nothing back. If there going both ways get subs in for them early and often and put them in on critical downs.

Christian should play receiver and let Walker and Snyder handle the bulk of the carries.
