Lafayette/Simon Kenton 6A State Semifinal Playoff Predictions

Yes it will be a great night of football! Just in case you didn't know, what you did last year doesn't mean a thing everyone starts the season 0-0. According to the powers that be Walker is ranked the #2 player in the state for C/O 2017, behind his teammate Wills. So yes, he is a better QB according to those that know better then I. -

Lafayette couldn't get their offense going with Trinity. That's not this Lafayette team. They played trinity desperate and scared. They will be ready for SK. -
3 kids 3 kid play both ways....someone getting scared.

No and No...QB got hurt 3 quarter and came back in the game later. Lafayette won that game period no fluke no excuses. They are a better team then what they showed at trinity.

Lafayette/Simon Kenton 6A State Semifinal Playoff Predictions

All Season long everyone talked about how overrated Lafayette is. How they are not a top 10 team, and yet they are going to semi finals. This team has heart, find ways to win, and is on a mission. I'm going with the team with the best QB...Walker Wood!! Go Yette! -

Well good thing this isn't last year, and Lafayette's not that team. Worse thing SK could do think they have this in the bag. -
Go Generals!!!! Very few believed, but I knew you had it in you!!

Lafayette/Scott County Round 3 Playoff Predictions

They started going both ways half way through the season. Shaw doesn't like playing players both ways in 6A but the the Defense needed it. -
Lafayette/Scott County Round 3 Playoff Predictions

It was 70-14...not that it makes a difference. All the D-1 talent is on the offense, not Defense. At this point they are 1 of 8 teams left so to continue to talk about "how bad they are" is kinda unjustified. They have had a 10-2 season this far and are going to regional. Good Luck to both teams! -
Remember the name Tyler Moore, freshman at Lafayette. O-Lineman that has great technique and moves well for such a young player. The kid is like 6'1 or 6'2 250 as a freshman.

Does anyone know if Station's QB was still out?

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings (10/12)
RLM33W replied to Ram's topic in KY Football (High School)
For the sake of discussion: Let's remember Trinity has dominated everyone with the exception of Male. PRP vs Trinity was 44-0. PRP is ranked 8th with 3 losses to Trinity, Male, St. X. Let's also not forget, yes Scott Co. Score may have scored 65 points but they also let Lafayette score 46 points. The game was 44-40 in the 4th. I think a lot of the games the top 15 played could have gone either way. This will lead to an interesting post season, and I expect a couple of upsets. -
Scott County won by a large margin, but what worries me about this score is the fact that they gave 35 pts up. Out of the 4 games HC has lost they scored the most on SC, with several starters out. SC better tighten up on defense.

Lafayette has lost to the #2 and #3 ranked teams Cooper lost to #4 and a Bryan Station team not ranked but they are ranked 10?? Must be that core math....

Shawn'kel Knight-Goff, and Jacobe Daughtery were listed in the freshman 450 list. I know they both played for the Kentucky Future Stars team..but thats about it. -

First off it was a general statement about Fayette Co schools not Lafayette. No excuses were made and I didn't bring up the topic. It was a response to question you didn't ask, so move on. Don't be a pit stirrer. And BTW middle school football also uses the high school fields.
-
I think it has more to do with the facilities. You have boys soccer, girls soccer, band, and football all trying to use the football field with no practice fields for use. This limits the time available for practice. Fayette Co. doesn't invest time or money in their athletics. Booster's have to raise everything.

I'm not mad at Lafayette. They made plays, they moved the ball. It's hard to score on that defense. Trinity's best in the state no question. Lafayette has some athletes. Young was owning trinity's stud DE. Trinity is a tough team and I don't see anyone beating them. Lafayette has to get more disciplined and the coach made some awful calls. Lafayette's defense...man get rid of your whole D-line, how can you let someone score 70 points. This ain't basketball. Linebackers waiting on the back all night. Giving up at least 6 or 7 yards every play. Backing up instead of moving forward on run plays. They need to focus on defense, cause although I see Lafayette's offense rated top 10 in the state, defense is near the bottom in 6A. Trinity's one amazing football team. They don't make mistakes, one of the most disciplined teams I've ever seen. Very impressed.

Central KY Freshman games to watch Sep. 7th. Henry Clay vs Dunbar @ HC Jackson will be the one to watch. The kids has speed. He finished 2nd at states in the 100. Lafayette vs Bryan Station Look for Moore to play OL/DL. The kid is big for a freshman. 6'2" 260lbs. Jackson and Moore played against each other last year in the middle school championship game. Moore and Jessie Clark came out on top, but both kids had good games. Henry Clay and Lafayette play Sept. 21st. Middle School Championship link https://youtu.be/7MACVrzSTc8
