How are the freshman teams looking? Any young talent coming up that will help their programs in the upcoming years?

According to Max Prep there are few 6A teams with freshman on thier Varsity roster

 

Male-3 Dennis QB, Hutchinson K, Allgeier OLB

Scott Co- Covington WR, Watts ILB

Ryle- Molique K

Lafayette- Moore DT

Bryan Station- Hunt WR/CB

Meade Co- Bravo K

Henry Clay- Jackson SS

 

Any of them playing friday nights?

Trinity is 2-0 with wins over Brentwood Academy (TN) and Highlands. The freshmen Rocks are off until 9/10 when the take on Male. Remember the name Dingle in the future. He looks like the real deal as a receiver.

 

St. Xavier's team opens play Thursday night at home versus Central Hardin.

Got to see the Freshman team vs Brentwood. Great job by the Rocks. Had the great fortune of coaching Dingle in youth leagues for a few years and he is a special player and person. Good luck to him and the rest of the team.

The Ryle Freshman kicker Molique is off to a great start as the starting kicker on Friday nights. 9-9 on PAT's and a FG to go with it in a couple of close games. The Molique kid was a FBU Top Gun Finalists. He's already displayed a full array of kicking for a Freshman, more than most veteran kickers at the HS level.

On the Freshman level last year as an 8th grader, he missed one PAT all year. That team scored a bunch of touchdowns, it wouldn't surprise me if he kicked over 35 PATs last year as well. They had no need to go for 2 much. This kid is consistent, will be fun to watch as his leg gets stronger.

CHHS also lists Jacob Hobbs as only other QB on roster behind Iler.

JV game moved up to Saturday due to Labor Day.

 

Male has a solid group of talent in this class. Many may be counted on to contribute early in their careers next season. After a terrible freshman team two years ago, Wolfe and company have really fielded two great classes back to back.

Molique was 54-59 on PAT's last year as an 8th grader on the Ryle Freshman Team. (92%) Very good numbers for a HS kicker much less an 8th grader.

GRC's Freshmen are 2-0 after 2 road victories over Madison Southern 20-0 and Dunbar 28-6.

Hard to say after just one game. I've seen these kids grow up through the little leagues and middle schools. One thing I know last year's freshmen went undefeated with 25 kids and their backup quarterbacks. Gotta respect that.
