  1. As someone who once coached a kid that was 6'9 as a 14 year old freshman trust me it takes them longer to get fundamentally solid. Just to awkward too many moving parts at that age. I saw Walter play and he's much farther along than I anticipated. Coaching staff doing a great job with him. And as a old coach told me once he's 6'10 and you can't teach that!
  2. I am never shocked when Ballard wins. I know that region is really strong but they have so much talent year in year out
  3. Webb had a great game plan really made things hard for Hughes don't remember him getting a clean look all night. Ben Jordan played like a 6'9 athlete should in this region he completely dominated. Greenup made zero adjustments to WC defensive scheme
  4. Always been a fan of Tim Riley having coached against him at warren central. Job he's doing at OC just as impressive if not more running different stuff playing different style just a quality coach!
  5. Easily top 5 and potentially #1. Kid has tremendous upside. Attitude could be better but hopefully with age and maturity it gets better.
  6. Very hard to rank coaches. Talent wins out most always. In my region the guy who I honestly think is the best coach has never won the region.
  7. yeah the Elliot Boyd semi barring a first round upset will be a war. Could mean good things for whoever comes out of bottom bracket.
  8. Marla gearhart was our best official hands down really good she took job as ymca director in Lexington and now does college only
  9. I would like to apologize in advance to anyone in the 9th region. Officiating in 16th never been great but it's at a all time low.
  10. Aj is kind of the unsung hero on the team. Not sure locally if he gets more recognition but out in the state he's not mentioned much does a lot for that team in my opinion
  11. Wow! I'm really suprised by the city schools. What has attributed to the downfall of the Henry clays Bryan stations etc????
  12. A very prominent and successful coach ( multiple state championships) that winning the 11th was harder than winning the sweet 16. I'm sure 6th and 7th share those thoughts
  13. Couldn't agree more. Not many times you lose such a quality coach and get such quality replacement especially at beginning of a school year
  14. Free education and going to a place where you can play are the most important things! Too many times kids go with the biggest school that recruits them and it doesn't work out. All or almost all these kids getting recruited have been the star of there team since elementary school. Hard to go sit on bench for 2-3 years trying to get on the floor.
  15. I agree I was just curious what people who had seen him play a lot over time thought. I wouldn't dare make a evaluation off one performance good or bad. I obviously caught Dunbar on a good night possibly just a bad match up for cch
  16. yep they sure are! Saw kid one time he was solid. But he was not best player on the floor. Wasn't even close honestly
