  1. Heavy metal or rap? Ice-T's music has been crap and non-influential since 1990.
  2. What makes you think there will ever be equality in this country? That ship sailed a long long time ago.
  3. I'll always be of the belief that everyone has a little bit of racism in them. How people act on it, handle it and speak on it is what will define them. Racial stereotypes are very real and in some ways everyone is guilty of applying them at some point IMO.
  4. Racism is more than just those two answers though. Both are great answers and IMO very true but there is more to it and can be hard to put into words.
  5. I'll also add that some people are racist and don't even know it or in denial about it.
  6. Age old myth. Racist blacks are more prevalent and more out in the open than racist whites IMO. People confuse racism with power structure and that is false. I've been around some very very racist black people. I cringe and some of the things they say and believe. It's sad to be around honestly.
  7. Think about it. A black professor makes what folks feel are racist statements about white males. The outrage lies with..."what if a white male said that about black people?" Well, for one, it wouldn't go over well. Why? Because white males still dominate the power structure of our country. If white males in power said things like this then black people would say, "see, we are held down by the man." Who is right then? These are times I almost wish I was a white dude so I could show people how to laugh at statements like the ones she made. These are meaningless words that are simply an opinion. In a week no one is going to care what this black female professor said, whether she has a job and majority of us won't even remember her name. Hell, I don't remember her name and I don't even remember the name of the Harvard professor that made The Beer Summit happen. She has no true power, no true influence and if the students she does teach and influence choose to voice their similar beliefs in the wrong setting then they will suffer the consequences. For every person who is allowed to use the double standard to their advantage there are people who suffer because they are on the wrong side of the double standard. Everyone at some point benefits from the double standards in today's world and everyone falls to a double standard at some point as well. Double standards make the world go around.
  8. Absolutely. And it isn't going anywhere. And honestly, it's probably a good thing.
  9. Her being a woman adds to the double standard as well. Take out the black and white and picture a man saying this about women and it is an issue as well. We are a society of double standards and always will be. This double standard shouldn't be a surprise or shock to anyone.
  10. I rest my case. I have no clue who Uncle Murda is. Looked him up and he is a crap rapper and it looks like he has never had a good album. Meaning he is worthless, powerless and has a small audience. He obviously isn't making any money making songs about killing cops. A song I still haven't heard. Ice-T's albums since Cop Killer have gone aluminum. He's proven to be a much better actor than rapper. Nobody is checking for his music anymore. Hell, him releasing 8 albums since Cop Killer is news to me. No one who likes rap is buying Ice T's albums. Are they eve rap albums? Cop Killer was heavy metal........ I'll add that Ice-T didn't get acceptance because of Cop Killer. To ignore the push back and fallout from that song is short-sighted and agenda serving. He had the FBI on his back over that song. That's not just "some push back". Who has been arrested for saying something in a forum or on social media? Double standards are prevalent everywhere and always will be. No one paying attention to society today should be surprised or shocked at all by that.
  11. It wasn't all good when Ice-T made Cop Killer. He went through a ton over that song, I think his label dropped him and he really hasn't made any music since then. Straight acting now. No one else has made rap songs about killing cops.
  12. Hoping for a Warriors/Clippers conference final.
  13. Doesn't Trinity graduate and 2012 Mr. Basketball, Nathan Dieudonne, play basketball for Boston University?
  14. Congratulations to Coach Kirk. I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Kirk while my son was a student at Burgin. He is a high quality teacher and a high quality coach. I am quite sure he will do just fine at Augusta and I wish him nothing but the best at Augusta.

  16. The NFL is already a joke. If he gets suspended the NFL will be cemented as a joke.
  17. Hagen pretty much left the NKY program when Bezold was let go. There was never a hesitation. At Campbellsville he will be starting college with two of his friends that also were on the Boyle basketball team in Chapman Bean and Zach Leigh and he'll be joining his former Boyle teammate, Micah Satterly on the basketball team. Hagen will have familiarity and comfort at Campbellsville and for a kid who knows what his future can and will hold I am very proud of his decision. I look forward to watching him at Campbellsville. There are quite a few kids from Boyle County attending Campbellsville. I think he made an excellent choice.
  18. Plus they only tested four Colts balls on one gauge and they "ran out of time" to test the other Colts balls. Hardly a fair system. This is why Brady's agent labeled it a "sting operation."
