  1. Lets think of it this way, which player is most valuable to their team? No discussion there. If it was Creech who got the exposure of playing for a Louisville area team and Boley who played for a rural mountain teem, who would be getting the votes? One poster cited that Boley was a better distributor? LOL!!! Like Creech has anybody to pass the ball to.
  2. #30 - Buckner (10 reb) #45 - Dressman #21 Morgan Stamper only had 3 pts, but they were huge. It was the 3 at the buzzer to end the third quarter. Real momentum builder I thought.
  3. True, but SK missed a bunch of bunnies at the beginning of the game that I was sure would cost them. Seemed like the missed FT were in the 4 qtr. Fatigue? SK really pushed tempo in this game. CC would take 30 seconds to score, and SK would transition from a made basket and score in 3-4 seconds.
  4. Well played ball game by two pretty even teams. Good luck to both in districts and regions.
  5. If by academics, you mean ACT/SAT test scores, success in standardized test being an indicator of College success is proving to be mythology. Colleges are beginning to drop ACT/SAT requirements and the quality of their incoming classes is going up. Getting a high ACT score says nothing about your work ethic, persistence or your ability to overcome obstacles. Football, and other High School sports do. We need to do three things to improve secondary education (That trickle down to athletics). 1) Stop spending money on top heavy administrators that do nothing to deliver education. 2) Increase funding for teachers. 3) Get the federal government out of our classrooms.
  6. I believe the biggest aspect to administrative positions that hurt athletics is that these are stepping stone positions that are not rooted in the community. Administrations typically are not from the communities they serve and will be off to the next position in the latter when their contract is up. They don't have long term interest in the community they serve, partly because it changes every 5 years.
  7. If I'm understanding correctly, this kid Barnes has tweeted offers that are not verified by the programs web presence? Sounds like he might be a fallback recruit with several higher on the board. D1 recruiting is especially disingenuous.
  8. Can anybody offer a scouting report of Anderson or Shelby? How good are these teams? How much advantage does Shelby have paying at home?
  9. Be careful, if you make the transfer and then find out the PT is not there ..........
  10. No No No No! Camps and Combines. NCSA is a total waste of money , like their partners NUC!
  11. Now that it appears we may be losing out Campbell County game to weather, we would like to go ahead and schedule this game!
  12. All Catholic High Schools aggressively market themselves to prospect students, and students who are also athletes. Kudos to Holy Cross for doing this very effectively in the past few years. Kudos to NDA for exceeding expectations this year. As a detached outsider, this is beginning to look like one set of folks is not happy with effectiveness of another schools efforts to attract student athletes. Given the two parties involved, could this not be settled within the diocese? With two Catholic HS HC unable to shake hands after a game, should not the Diocese intervene at that point?
  13. Two opponents backed out two weeks before scheduled to play. Not in our control.
  14. I believe this game will be a good barometer of how far the Lady Pioneers will go in the post season. They lost a lot of games earlier in the season to very good, senior laden teams. Let us see how much they have developed.
  15. Regionals are at Shelby County? Not exactly a geographically friendly choice of location.
  16. They just played Holmes last night and play St. Henry today after going deep into All A. They are over-scheduled and I don't blame them, though it would make sense to schedule All A schools earlier in the year to avoid potential conflicts. Only 10 home dates on the year though. That's frustrating. Its not like we are E-Town.
  17. That's a vast improvement from the previous regime.
  18. Are Holmes points coming off turnovers or set offence?
  19. Better yet, have the girls play the coaches! That might be really interesting!
  20. Then why leave Boley in late in games, long after they are decided, to pad stats???
  21. If you had seen the original schedule, you would have seen two more.
  22. Could Boley score 50 a game triple and quadruple teamed every play, under the pressure of knowing she had to score that much for her team to have a chance?
