X`s and O`s

I think Russell is getting a little better. And Raceland is dropping , crazy what 3-4 weeks can do or not do , for a team.

What has happened to Elliott? Any body have a clue ?

I have no clue how you got , what you posted from mine. If your a coach , figured you might understand what was said.

I`m not saying Tackett is trying to loose, Just as I have said many times he has no clue how to coach. If you know any coaches in the 16th , just ask them. I talked to one awhile back, and he said the same about Tackett. Coach Kidwell has came in a and does as much as he can, but Tackett still has final say. Tackett was subbing like there was a minuet left in game, not a half or quarters... One close lose , Tackett had 2 starters on bench for last 3 min of game. I`m guessing most coaches have there best players in , at a time like that. Than after a Greenup basket with 10 sec left , he calls a timeout. The only problem was Greenup was down 10. Maybe he had a special play ..... He has also said loosing only matters at the end of year, tournament time. Great out look for regular season, Has not won in either , even proves my point more. Never said Tackett is trying to throw games, just the man has no clue how to coach. That's all...

From the "Green House " Greenup picked up there 10th win on the season, with a 68-54 win over Belfry. The game was never close, Greenup lead the hole game. GC would go up 20 or more , than Tackett would sub 3-4 back ups , and Belfry would cut the lead. Than GC starters came back in , to rebuild lead. The kids from Belfry , played hard the hole game even being down so much. Greenup is now 10-5 on the season.

I don't know the shooting % for either team , but both where bad. Tons of missed lay-up , short shots. And many turn overs. Trimble did have a good game plan for Gage Hughes, and with Mike Hubbert out made it better.

Cant say I seen this coming. Thought Elliott would win , close maybe but win. hum?

Very sloppy game at times, and both teams couldn't shoot a lick. Both teams played hard, Mike Hubbert being hurt, and not playing .Slowed Greenup even more, and gave Raceland a chance to double Gage Hughes more. Lucky for Greenup Austin Grooms played a great game on both ends, made big basket after big basket. Greenup took a 3 point lead with about 30 sec or less , Raceland missed a 3 , Grooms rebound and fouled . Hit both to give GC a five point lead, and final 50-45. With Hubbert hurt and Hughes `s 13 points about 9 below avg, was a great team win for Greenup tonight to move to 9-5 for season and 3-0 District .

Was this an upset ?

I would rather be there and loose , than not be there at all. Elliott is strong again , maybe if they make it this year . Could be a different story, maybe learned a little from last. Also depends on draw.

Did East have players out or was Russell that good ?

From the "Greenhouse" the Musketeers got a 16 point win over Fairview, 67-51. Greenup jumped out to a early lead, to only see Fairview battle back. That was pretty much the story of the game, Fairview would cut the lead to 8 or so than Greenup would make a run. With the win Greenup moves to 8 and 5 on the season. I give the Fairview plays a "hand" for playing hard the hole game. Greenup goes to Raceland Friday for a district game.

True after the top 2, its a mess of teams that fit in the next 5 spots. A lot more game s to figure it out.

Morgan has lost to both, and East. So hard to put them there. Greenup lost to Ashland witch I still feel Greenup is the better team. Greenup has a few region games coming up , so we will see where they stand. But for now Greenup #3 , Morgan and Ashland a close #4.. Who do you think ?

Spin we don't see eye to eye on much. But this, yes it was. Raceland started the season strong , but after this not looking good. Nice win for Lewis Co.

Not trying to take to much away from Brossart. Very well coached team, fundamentally sound, and 2 really nice players. But taking out the 16th is a stretch , barely got by Lewis Co who is a mid-low team. And caught Greenup on a really bad shooting night, don't know how many lay-up , bunny shots Greenup missed but it was a bunch. Gage Hughes was cold from 3 witch didn't help. And got out coached , Greenup is mid- to upper in 16th. Brossart is a nice team, just don't think they are a top team. Would like to see Greenup get a rematch, not going to happen. So good luck to Brossart on the rest of there season. I enjoy watching a team play like they do.

The Greenup player in question's dad just retired from the military. His mom is originally from Wheelersburg and wanted to move back home. They ended up at Greenup instead of Wheelersburg - just across the Ohio River. I don't consider him transfer because the family moved back home.

can you explain , when the dribble ends.

The Jump stop has always got me, even back when I was a ref. If you jump and don't shoot the ball , its a travel . But you can run , jump and than pass or shoot and your ok. If a player with the ball jumps and comes down with ball it should always be a travel .
