Transfers (Pot calling kettle Black)

Featured Replies

There is a lot of talk on here about transfers. Who has them whose getting them and so forth. So let's talk about it and put the teams out there that has them.

Let's use the basis of not going to the feeder school. Als let's not use any excuses for why they showed up.

I'm a central KY guy so let's talk about some that I know of. There could be more on these teams that I can think of.

Taylor - Sloan and eventually possibly Gaines

North Hardin - Jackson

Campbellsville - Taylor (twice) and Epps

Adair - Freshman from Indy

Russell - Stotts

Casey - White and Russell County kid

Nelson County - Ryan

Bowling Green - Booker, Jones Brothers

Mercer - Dow and James

Christian County - Sebree

Hoptown - I know they have some from UHA or Christian

Perry County - Tobler

Owen County - Dunnaway

This is just some that I can think of off the top of my head. There are several top teams n the state on here. Christian county Hoptown Taylor north Hardin mercer Owen county.

The name calling gets old about certain teams on here. Let's be honest that most if not all the top teams in the state have transfers. The reasons for transferring vary but an addition is an addition.

Sloan wasn't a transfer. He relocated with Gatewood (Gatewood is his legal guardian) after his 8th grade year. Started at Taylor his freshman year

I'm almost certain Jackson's family relocated from out of state. If this scenario is considered to be wrong then John Hardin's entire roster transferred. I know they aren't considered a state power by no one's stretch but they are almost entirely comprised of military kids

Some interesting schools that were left off your list.

You used the cliché "pot calling the kettle black." I will respond with my own cliché, "missing the forest for the trees." The point is not if a kid transfers or moves or switches districts. The point is HOW they got there and what influence was brought to bear.

If there are any bears running loose in this thread the Mods aren't doing their job.

Incredible turn of phrase. I'm not going to go any further down the road.

Add them to it then.

Nah that's not for me. Everyone knows there are transfers. Many people know which schools are cheating (and yes, they are) and which ones are legit. It's the KHSAA's job to be the police. I'll leave it up to them.

Jacksons Step Father is in the Army... He is stationed at Ft. Knox, hence the reason Jackson has been at North Hardin since middle school. Adair Freshman..... Well Breeze is there, so you know he probably brought talent with him. Bowling Green gets transfers in every sport. People in Warren County have known that for YEARS! The rest of the State is just now learning it. (You should see the D1 transfers they added to the girls basketball team!!!) Dow and James.... Well they play on the same AAU team, so you can make a guess as to how that happened. Sebree was going to UHA (a private school), but is zoned for Christian County (not a true transfer). Same thing for Nicholas who now plays for Hoptown.... Russell County actually got another transfer from Warren Central that previously transferred from Hopkinsville (Another AAU Connection).

Some of you confused this thread for a Kids Club meeting. I deleted the posts, please keep it classy.

Volatile topic. Parents and kids should make the best decision for themselves based upon multiple facets and not just sports IMHO........
