Well, all I have said on several posts is brag on Boyle Co since they beat our Cardinals a few weeks ago. If all these posters think they seen the best of Wayne that night, I would love to see them match up against any of these teams you keep saying would beat any teams in 4a. Why start a disrespectful post on another class being so bad.

This was the second best team I think we have played this year behind Boyle C. They have some very good skill players and I look for them to be playing for awhile in playoffs.

I sure wouldn't argue with you Statsdontlie. I said after watching them play our cardinals earlier, I thought they were the best fundamental high school team I had ever seen play. I know lots of people pick Belfry or Corbin but if I was a betting man, it would be on Boyle.

Better not sleep on Wayne co this year. As most teams go through, several key players in football and hopefully we will be playing FB a while longer. Hopefully in state championship, but once those players get their basketball form we will be pretty good.

I know for a fact our AD went right over to Wayne co students and within 5 minutes they were bring the banner back over escorted by a constable. Looked fine at that time.

I assume it was a Rockcastle school employee last night but he assured some of us fans that it would be addressed. Rock is a really good team on both sides of the lines and I think probably the hype on the game had them a little too fired up but there is absolutely no excuse for their actions last night.

Only thing I will say, you will not see Wayne Co team do something like that because they know what the outcome would be facing Coach Thompson.

Come on back smashmouth, we will still be waiting.

I've watched a lot of high school football in my old age and that was one of the most classless things I've witnessed. I shutter to think what would have happened if one of those cheerleaders had been hurt for such disrespect. They had just huddled in prayer in the end zone prior to that and just made my heart swell and then to do something like that. You stoked a fire Rock that won't soon go out.

Listening on radio to Mr Hutch and its like being at the game. He knows the game and is as entertaining as they come. Wayne Co. with 5 posessions in first half and 5 touchdowns.

I believe Wayne is very eager also.

Don't know if AP thought Wayne was overrated or that Boyle wasn't that good.

Boyle looked like a top team in 3a. I believe they are the best tackling high school team I've ever seen. You didn't see this group of guys trying to tackle any players around the waist or shoulder area, they wrapped the legs and stopped us. Wayne didn't play their best ball for sure, but Boyle had a lot to do with that. I think this game will make us a better team and i'm sure you won't see Boyle drop off. Congratulations to you rebels.

I've seen some short clips of videos on Warren East and they look pretty good. I'm more concerned about the playing surface for our cardinals. Don't play on turf that much and may take a bit to get use to, but hopefully we play like we're capable of and no injuries . GO CARDINALS

One of the best high school games you could ever hope to see. I agree that Cain is a very good and smart QB, but Lindsey is a star. Sometimes tries to make plays that is nothing there and somehow gets the job done. I really like both these teams playing for state champions in their respective classes.

After what I saw tonight whoever the opponent is better be plenty worried. Coach Woods will have this team not making very costly silly errors by that time. They will be a tough out Regional Tournament time. Saying that though, I have watched Peyton Gover since he was 8th grade and after watching basketball for the past 50 to 60 years, I have never seen a shooter his equal. We have had many great ones over the years at Wayne and all over the region, but never one as consistent as this young man. I thought Brett did about a good of job guarding him tonight, but when he gets rolling, I don't think there is one single player that can shut him down. Great exhibition by him tonight and also Stetson Simpson from Wayne. Do not like losing, but to sit and watch a game that intense in December, fans got their money's worth.

PP92 know you were at the game Friday night with Wayne and Mercer, do you think Wayne has any shot at JC? Seems most posts don't think we need to be on same field with the mighty Eagles.

Was very impressed with Mercer Co . They have some athletes on both sides of the lines. If this was Faulkners first game, look out. That young man will go tackle and hard to throw the ball against him defending. Wayne Co. is about as solid as I've seen them. When I seen some predictions coming from on preps earlier in the week, I thought you haven't seen this team play. They are 4a contenders.

Have not seen any clips on Bell County. They seem to always be a tough bunch, but I know what Wayne County can do and feel the guys and coaching staff will be happy to get off the road and ready to play before their home crowd. Go CARDINALS.

From what I seen the other night not only will Boyle win against Casey, IF THEY ARE HITTING 3 POINT SHOTS, they will be hard to beat in championship game. Sit behind Boyles bench and they were a well coached cool team.

Agree 100% Oldham, I think referees worked a lot harder at being in position to make the call when it was only 2 calling games. A lot of it now with 3 is waiting to let the other call and it gets bad at times.
