Boyle County comes off a close loss to rival Danville, 7-10. Can they regroup against a solid, undefeated Wayne County team?

I think Boyle will find away to pull out the win.

Wayne has a big-time QB in Lorenzo Linsey. Can hurt you in the air and on the ground. He is only one of several playmakers for Wayne County.

 

I expect this to be a great football game. I think overall both teams match up very well with each other.

My thoughts from Tuesday haven't changed. Wayne and Boyle matchup very well with each other. This could easily be one of those games where special teams/turnovers/penalties play a huge factor. Linsey, the Wayne QB, might be the best athlete Boyle will face all year....kid is a stud.

 

I do believe if Boyle brings their 'A' game they will win the game.

I agree 85_Rebel, this good matchup game for Boyle. I saw Wayne play last year in the playoffs against Mercer. The QB is really good, he can throw and will take off and run if needed. I'm thinking that the #22 kid is the same running back that they had last year and he is pretty quick. Boyle has been good and stopping team this year with a quick back. I believe that Boyle will win but will not be a shock if Wayne comes in to Rebel Stadium and wins.

The more I ponder a score, the more I realize how good this matchup could be.

To me, regardless of who wins it is a great win for either program? It is also one of those games that kinda clears the fog on who is legit and who isn't from a state ranking perspective. Am I wrong here?

I think you're exactly right it's going to give me a good idea where Boyle stands as a team.

Never. Those 1979-82 games are the only time they've met.

Win or lose for each team does not matter one iota in the scheme of whether either one is a state title contender. Both are very good teams. Hats off to each of the teams for playing this game. Should be a great one!
