Never poke the bear. Wayne was the more physical team all night and it appears Rock wore down early in the third.

SmashMouth17 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I wouldn't say Wayne County was more physical than rock. The score was 3-0 at halftime. Forget that part? I give Wayne county credit they was able to keep the intensity up for 4 quaters and are a solid team. Wayne tackles good and they hit hard. Rock got wore down same guys playing both ways the entire game with lack of depth will hurt you against teams that are equally as good. No excuses but the sick bug has been going thru our team and is something you just have to play thru. We got issues as a team we need to work on but Wayne isn't 4 TD better but tonight they was. We plan on being back you haven't seen the last of the Rock. Good luck until we meet again.

Please tell me it was an accident... no way the Rock coaches would be OK with this type of gamesmanship? Would they?

They had three chances to score they did not punch it in the first half or this would have been much worse. But to answer your question, the head coach spoke briefly about it on the radio on the post game show after the radio guys asked him about it. Lets put it this way, it was a really physical game.

Wayne D held Rock on the 1 yard line Rock thrown int in the end zone right before halftime would have gave Rock lead going in to the half. Let's not forget Rock defense stopped Wayne on those drives is the reason they didn't score. Wasn't like Wayne was letting up any throwing the ball 80 % of final drive up 24-0. Not forget the non obvious late hit out of bounds on our qb Brent only to have him flagged for returning the favor doing same play to the guy who did it to him of course the refs seen that one. We wouldn't want you to let up we held you to another field goal even when the game waa done decided. I was only saying you can't call a one side affair in my opinion that is as class less as anything Rock done. The game was chippy both ways some poor ref calls on both sides of the game. The game played was physical and hard hitting Wayne came away with the win in this one. See you again come playoffs. The whole banner ordeal for anyone really wanting to know. Rock fans go out for the spirit line refs attempt to keep our fans from being able to do this because we had to many and was taking up about 40 yards or so and Wayne County had the banner on our side so when we ran thru our banner some how we ended up running thru theirs to. I don't think it was intentional but they had it over on our side of the 50. Not really sure

Let's just put it like this when you have your banner on the opposing teams 35 yard line what do you really expect to happen? Each team is aloud there side of the 50. When the other team comes on your side during pre game and entrance that is being disrespectful. If you want your team to run thru the banner keep it on your side.
