Yes each team should have a half field a piece to warm up on, I agree. But I see now reason why they can't have a tunnel as long as they want. I wouldn't consider that disrespectful, merely a physic job. Trying to intimidate the other team with their crowd. Wayne done the same thing against JC 2 years ago at home in the semi state game with player introductions. I kinda liked it as I'm sure do the players.

 

All I'm saying is, if Rockcastle couldn't avoid running through a banner with the field 52 yds wide, then that alone explains the goose egg IMO.

 

Wayne does this every game. For years. This was not Rocks first trip to Jewell Field.

I assume it was a Rockcastle school employee last night but he assured some of us fans that it would be addressed. Rock is a really good team on both sides of the lines and I think probably the hype on the game had them a little too fired up but there is absolutely no excuse for their actions last night.

The banner flag was laminated and cost $150 guess they don't care about that happening. But we're the one's that showed bad sportsmanship. Both sides were at fault but at least we didn't destroy anything of value the banner they run through no were near cost what they destroyed yet you never heard any Wayne county fan say a word about that.

If what you say is true. I am truly sorry. That type of conduct is not acceptable. I'm sure our administration will not condone such conduct. I'll pay for the banner if they don't. If we are blessed enough to play again I'll get rockcastle its own banner to run through.

 

However your allegation are directed at a fan. Not a Wayne player. It is hypocritical for you cry about your banner while you justify the disrespect of Wayne's banner.

 

Unfortunately I have yet to read a single post from rockcastle saying they are sorry for the actions of their PLAYERS. Instead you have justified it and made excuses.

 

I wonder how the players will be dealt with by your staff and administration.

I am really on the fence about this one. Obviously, running through the other teams banner should not happen. IMO, that banner should not be on the wrong side of the 50 yard line so I can understand it being run through with it on the other teams 35 yard line. Both teams at fault. I think officials should not allow a team to have fans and a banner on the other side of the 50.

Got pushed back at them.

I know for a fact our AD went right over to Wayne co students and within 5 minutes they were bring the banner back over escorted by a constable. Looked fine at that time.

So once again Smashmouth17 deviated from the facts. Looks like he is trying to push rockcastle's classless acts under the rug by making up stuff.

Nope! It's not during warm ups. Rockcastle was in the end zone.

The cheerleaders and students that worked on the banner all week only want the crowd to see it. It's been done that way for years with never a problem.

 

Rockcastle tried to be cute and play games. I guess they thought they were sending a message. It was heard load and clear. Wayne gave their response on the field.

Every game I can recall going to each team stayed on their own side of the 50 with their banner and tunnel.

 

Officials take authority over the game 30 minutes prior to the game starting. They have the authority to control activity that they consider unsportsmanlike. I think a tunnel extending across the 50 all the way to the 35 into another team's half of the field is unsportsmanlike.
