  1. Interesting thread. For me "regrets" and "mistakes" are not the same thing. Some of my mistakes I regret, and some I don't. My regrets, now that I put thought to it, are centered around decisions/actions of mine that hurt other people.
  2. We can eliminate faking a foot condition to avoid the draft from consideration.
  3. Trump encourages people to "check out her sex tape." He said he found Paris Hilton very attractive when she was 12, but he did not have sex with her because she was 12 and he is not into that. He has said that stuff about his daughter, how hot she is and how he would want to date her if she wasn't his daughter. He is a misogynist. He is a racist. He is critical of prisoners of war. He lacks the capacity to show empathy to family members of killed servicemen/women. He makes fun of handicapped people. He is vulgar and ill-tempered. He dodged the draft. He has never sacrificed for his country and seems unable to understand the concept of sacrifice. He is a vulgar person in every way possible. HRC is not great, I don't like her and in dozens of posts I have never said a single positive thing about her. But she is the better choice, by far.
  4. I have never liked Murray. I never will. Not sure how 'cheap shots" can become a tradition but they are easily the school most likely to cheap shot. It's like they intentionally set out to be arrogant and dirty. The thing is, no matter how bad you beat them, they will still be Murray, all smug with their polo shirts and penny loafers. Can't stand them. My prediction for the game: An easy win for us, I just hope none of our players are injured when they start the cheap shots.
  5. I will give the Corbin coach the benefit of the doubt on the 2 pt conversion call, especially since he and his staff did a good job coaching those boys. They did not fall apart and go away after a pretty brutal first half beating. That says a lot about their kids and the coaching. They also made some pretty good adjustments in the second half, so again, that's good coaching. I can't say I agree, but I can say give the benefit of the doubt in the face of obvious overall good coaching. This part is that hard balance to strike somehow. On one hand Corbin deserves a lot of credit, but on the other hand, we made a lot of unMayfield-like mistakes. So you want to deal with the mistakes without denigrating the quality of the opponent and their effort. That said, if we fix the mistakes, and get Trajon back, .....watch out.
  6. Interception. Mayfield with the ball trying to kill 2.5 minutes.
  7. corbin down by 1, they have the ball at the 40 with 3 plus minutes
  8. Our offense is pretty good. Have scored as many points against them tonight so far as they have given up in the previous five games. GO BIG RED!
  9. 28-14 Mayfield. A few seconds left in the half. GO BIG RED!
  10. corbin has six yards of offense and 14 points GO BIG RED!
  11. You could put all my rules knowledge in a thimble I guess but that block looked okay to me. If a defender doesn't want to get blocked behind a play, he doesn't have to run toward the ballcarrier. It was a clean good hit otherwise, so if it did violate some rule, then the rule is stupid. Still, this is a controversy between Graves and Tilghman, so the only thing that could make it better is if the refs somehow declared them both losers of the game. . GO BIG RED!
  12. I would have answered this question differently last week, I thought our effort on defense left a little to be desired last week against PT. This week is different. I know it was a lot of points, but our defense was solid in that game. That type of effort over the next 11 weeks will result in a lot of shutouts and a state championship. Every team has a maturation and jelling together process (hopefully ) and I think we have just kinda gone through ours.
  13. Not only could we hang with them, but we would beat them. GO BIG RED! P.S. Believing in yourself and/or your team is an admirable quality and part of our DNA in Mayfield. It may not translate gloriously when espoused by old guy on a message board. I will believe we can beat them til I am proven wrong by a scoreboard.
  14. GO BIG RED! Great effort by the kids. Toward the end of the game, Trajon's arm was not in the sling, so I take that as a good sign. Thank you MC coaching staff for the go-for-it on fourth down decision.
  15. I don't get some of the reactions. I mean, I don't change the radio station when it comes on. I do however, stop my car and get out, set the car on fire and then throw myself in front of oncoming traffic.
  16. I went and watched the McCracken/Tilghman game and am amazed at how different Tilghman looked from that game to the Mayfield game. Maybe at some point in my life I will just remember that these are kids that play these games, and their effort and performance can vary greatly. Anyway, McCracken was chanting in the Tilghman game "we want Mayfield." Kinda proud that we mean so much to them. I think this will be a tight game, but I also believe we have the most talented player on the field, Trajon Bright. So I will go with Mayfield 35-31. GO BIG RED!
  17. Marshall looked and played like a football team, with some grit and toughness. We looked pretty good. GO BIG RED!
  18. I don't put milk in eggs but a small bit of sour cream right at the very end. For texture, not taste.
  19. McCracken fans chanting "we want Mayfield toward the end of first half"
