This young FS team seems to be molding together more and more as the season progresses. How much better can they get this year. Tell us about the up and comers for this young squad. Who do they have that will make noise for the next few years. I've seen them play a few times this year, but I know you are very familiar with the program.

FS will give them a run. Franklin didn't play it's best game last night and still won. They might not be Highlands, but they will come to play.

Who wins and why?

FS has 8 seniors with 5 seeing several minutes and 11 Juniors with 7 of them getting several minutes. They are starting mostly sophmores and one Freshman on Defense. Their best running back at this point is a senior, and their workhorse is a Junior fullback, but the stable is filled with great young backs that are getting better and stronger every game. They have two Sophmore running backs that are averging 6-7 yrds, per carry and have breakout speed and a freshman that is averaging 10yrds. a carry, also with breakout speed, but they are breaking him in slowly.They should be very good for many years to come. They also have a great 8th grade squad that went 10-2 this year, that will join them next year.

Yes, they have the potential to have 3 playoff home games. This team is about a year ahead of where I envisioned at the beginning of the year. I think they have what it takes to get very far in the playoffs. Any perdictions on the Hoptown game?

IMO. These young guys have been tested. They have beat Graves Co. 5A, a very good Russellville team,and a very good Warren East team. They were beat by BGA of Tenn, but many have been beaten by them. I think this FS team is no where near their full potential, and may not get there this year, but are a very good, very young team.They had 600 yards rushing last night. That's pretty good no matter who you are playing.

Warren East has a kid #2 Reynolds. He is a good running back, but is being worn out because they have no one else. I read he carried the ball 28 out of W.E. 34 offensive plays against FS last week for 188 yards.

I said Bg would win by three, to get the NKY boys riled up. I think Highland is a very good team, like every year, but Bg would beat them this year, if played. Owensboro played well against Bg, but hasn't played to that level since, and I think Highland would beat Owensboro head on. This is a talk forum of people telling their thoughts. I shared mine.

A kid from Franklin Simpson "Saul Brady". He starts varsity as safety and is a great running back as well. Many will remember him in all star games the last two years. he runs offense a and defense as a freshman. This kid is a stud! He was number 24 in Middle school and now is known as 18.

Rumor has it, that Reynolds is going to Florida after the season. He is a great player, but if you give someone the ball 28 out of 34 times with a good line you can average 6 yards a carry and break one every now and then. FS is loaded and W.E. is Reynolds!!!

Those freshman and Sophomore classes are going to be really good when they grow up!!! This Franklin team is playing very young and beat a very good Russellville team tonight.

BGA looks to be very BIG. Who does everyone have, and why?

They are playing great defense, and there offense has been very explosive. The areas they were to be weak in, they are finding it to be their strength. This team really seems to like each other, and are playing like it. They are very well coached and play very hard and physical. If they can slow their penalties, sky is the limit for this team.

Great game by the Wildcats. Defense was awesome! They have to get the penalties under control. Big game next week against Battle Ground Academy.
