  1. When was the last time Mayfield wasn't at the top of the Liktenhous Ratings? CLASS A 1.Pikeville 111.8 2.Beechwood 110.7 3.Mayfield 108.0 4.Frankfort 103.6 5.Williamsburg 100.2 6.Raceland 98.0 7.Hazard 97.0 8.Holy Cross 90.0 9.Russellville 89.0 10.Campbellsville 81.4
  2. from khsaa score board Sep 4, 98 Miami Belen Jesuit, FL away (L) 0 - 28 Sep 15, 00 Rutherford, FL at Paul Dunbar (L) 15 - 32
  3. What did Frankfort do to drop from 2 to 4 this week?
  4. Don't get me wrong here. I'm jealous of the kids from Frankfort!!! This is a trip of a lifetime for any high school player. It was like the stars and planets had to align but they got it done. Hope they do well and come home with a win.
  5. It just seems to me that KY HS football teams historically haven't traveled long distances for games. As you pointed out there are a few but those are still only a few hours from Louisville. I did find this statement in the KHSAA rule book. It might explain why they can't travel a more than a few hours unless they are off school like Frankfort. SPORT-ACTIVITIES a) Playing During School Hours School Time shall not be lost for travel to or from, or participation in, any regular season interscholastic athletic contest. Maybe this is where I got a certain distance in my head!
  6. Your quote from the post game thread: Same Franklin County team that beat Frankfort.
  7. In my attempt to think of a player I think I missed to 2 most obvious candidates. Max Nussbaum and Gage Erdman. If my thinking is correct. 2009 would have been their freshman seasons. (senior 2012, junior 2011, Soph 2010) Here are links to their stats on Cincinnati.com Cincinnati.Com | Beechwood High School | Max Nussbaum Cincinnati.Com | Beechwood High School | Gage Erdman Both show stats for regular season games. this link shows you that is the 2009 season based on comparison of schedule and scores. Beechwood 2009 Kentucky High School Football
  8. First, I wasn't saying to play Mescher at all 3 levels. He certainly could help the JV team on Saturdays. As you stated above, several freshman were brought up this week. As stated in previous thread. Zach Larimore is the last one I can remember under Coach Rash. Not sure he did for entire season and I never said that he did. Also never said he played at all 3 levels but certainly did dress varsity games that season. Pretty sure he played JV games. Prior to him, Rigdon played JV at least.
  9. Although my question didn't state it, I meant in reference to Football. Those other sports are different as you can play multiple games in one day or over a few days. Football doesn't allow for that. Can you think of a KY school that has traveled substantial distance to play a football game? Usually the teams have come to KY.
  10. How come we never see any other KY travel like this? I always thought there was some kind of KHSAA rule or something.
  11. You keep saying this but historically this wasn't true, even with Coach Rash. I did hear today that there may be a KHSAA rule regarding not playing more than 2 different levels during the same week.
  12. RCC9 said this in the prediction thread: I agree! When you get on the field and look across the line at kids that are your size and speed, it's an instant confidence booster. And then once you run a couple plays and realize you CAN push this kid off the ball. I AM faster than the kid lined up over me trying to guard me. My receivers are more open than they have been all year and I seem to have a little more time this week to throw. Wow, these receivers I'm guarding aren't as big and as fast as the last 4 weeks, I gotta shot of doing something here! I think it makes a HUGE difference when they see 2A teams. ************************* I think this is exactly what happened!
  13. Mt Healthy is now 5-0. Averaging 36 points per game. They have only given up 27 points in 4 games since the Beechwood game. Beechwood scored 34 points in one half! Dixie is better than most people think. We will see in the next several weeks what they do with the rest of 6A NKY.
  14. Lets just they are starting to look like what was expected. Definitely top 2 in 1A state.
  15. Anybody want to meet at the Saddle Club to discuss?
  16. I was complaining all last week about making sure we had to have the freshman kicker ready. Turns out he was needed this week. He did great but in the future I would like to see him getting more kicks than just the freshman level.
  17. Congrats to JV Tigers. I don't see how the big school don't win these games vs smaller schools. Just based on numbers the big schools should have more juniors playing JV.
  18. post game thread is located here: http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-football-high/beechwood-28-conner-286385.html
  19. The death of Highlands football are greatly exaggerated!
  20. Coach Buckett didn't identify who was hurt but said 4 starters and several backups are out this week. Info was in the LCA vs Frankfort thread.
  21. Is everyone else surprised that a certain somebody hasn't posted yet?
  22. Hopefully it won't impact regular season district games and ultimately impact playoff seeding.
