  1. He dressed the last 2 varsity games. He did not dress vs Dixie or New Cath JV games. I assume he dressed this weekend vs Scott JV (because they had extra points scored) but I wasn't there to confirm. I think he plays cornerback and is backup qb on freshman team. He is a nice athlete but on the small side.
  2. Beechwood was not completely dominated for a big portion of the game. They were moving the ball in the first half but just couldn't score. Probably what gave them confidence in the second half.
  3. Did you run Belfry vs Pikeville? What does it say? Those scores are interesting. I would say that Dixie would easily handle Mt Healthy
  4. With the weekly rankings coming out today could somebody tell me how the rankings are developed?
  5. I'm concerned if the Beechwood varsity kicker gets hurt that they won't have anyone ready to fill in. I'm sure Daniel Mescher would kick as often as needed. Highlands had a freshman kicker a few years ago that kick at all levels every week. I think he is still there!
  6. Fewer votes this week? Beechwood falls from tied for 7th to 8th after blowout win over undefeated team. Scott moves ahead by beating a winless team that beechwood beat worse. Go figure!
  7. Who are you and what have you done with Old Sports Dad?
  8. NCC has played a tough schedule. The only game I think is out of line was the Cooper score but they were trying to piece things together at QB at that time so that makes a little more sense. I expect them cruise through NKY 2A without any threat at all.
  9. I think Mayfield is #1 because they always have the best defense. They have 2 shutouts and allowed only 31 points in 2 games to tough teams. McCracken is the only team to put up serious points on them and they were matching them score for score.
  10. Freshman kicker #8 Daniel Mescher did dress for the Holy Cross varsity game and kicked one extra point. I assume he was dressed for the Franklin County game because I saw his aunt/uncle and grandpa at the game and they normally wouldn't be there unless he was playing. So what you were told was likely incorrect. If Mario German #10 varsity was there I'm glad. Never hurts to get more reps when you are young. People say JV scores don't matter but to the kids on the field it does and to lose close games because you don't have a kicker is a disservice to them. Historically (including Noel Rash years) Beechwood would bring up selected freshman. Usually they are stud players or sometimes out of necessity. They dressed varsity and usually played JV games. Last player I remember doing this was Zac Larimore back in 2007.
  11. Except Fairview!!! :-) VOR strength of schedule post supports my thoughts. What you say about the east may be true, but does that mean they are better than Frankfort or Beechwood from the west. Lex Christian had a team that made it to the championship and returned a lot of starters and didn't make it back the next year. Sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don't.
  12. I'm not sold on Williamsburg. I think their schedule is the weakest of the top 4.
  13. Sounds like you need a PBR! Why are you allowed to be critical of the Tiger Coaching Staff but no one else is? Sounds like a double standard to me!
  14. Don't think he was critical, just pointed out something he thought was missed. I just took a looked at Phantom4753 previous posts and I don't see anything that would lead you to believe that this poster is as you say "saddle club folks"! Have any of you guys that mention saddle club been there lately or ever? Don't think many "Old School Tigers" are up there...but just keep throwing that out there! Weren't you critical of the the defensive play calling and predicted a Tiger loss vs Franklin County in the prediction thread?
  15. Daniel Mescher is the freshman kicker. his uniform would have looked different than the rest of the team. Think he is #8. He is very good.
  16. You could list a lot of players to watch for the Tigers. I'd expect Riley McKown to have a big game against Holmes. I don't think the Holmes o line will handle him. I think Beechwood will win big so we might not see much of the passing game. Joe Studer will always get his yards. If Holmes has to pass the ball McHugh and Plegman should get some interceptions.
  17. Did Beechwood bring up the Freshman kicker? Glad to see they were putting 7's on the board instead of going for 2 every time!
  18. Depends on when SK scored in the 3rd quarter
  19. several = 5? There is one way Coach Rash can shut them up. WIN!!! Not sure why this had to be interjected into the prediction thread.
  20. If FC is not as good as last year I don't see why Beechwwood should not win this game. I'm not sure that Oldham County and Western Hills compare to Dixie and Mt Healthy. Saw some video of FC and not sure what to think. Some plays they look awesome and some they look terrible. Not sure what Beechwood has done to fix the hole created at linebacker last week but I assume they will use one of the D ends. Beechwood by 10!
  21. So Flyer fans, is this years team better than last years team?
  22. Ludlow scores TD and converts for 2pt conversion. 16-7 with 49 seconds left.
  23. Ludlow kicks 30 yd Field Goal with 1:52 left but penalty on Brossart and Ludlow takes points off board and keeps the ball and first down.
