I think this spells it out... ByLaw 16, Recruitment/Undue Influence Sec. 1) Provisions on Recruitment/Undue Influence a) A pupil (domestic or foreign) at ANY GRADE level shall not be recruited to a member school of the KHSAA for the purposes of athletics... Sec. 2) DEFINITION a) Recruiting is defined as an act, on behalf of or for the benefit of, a school, which attempts to influence a student to transfer to a member school for the purpose of participating in athletics b) A school official utilizing an intermediary including a peer, another school employee, a student, a parent or a citizen, for the purpose of recruiting a student athlete shall be in noncompliance. c) An athletic coach or any other member of the school staff shall not infl uence a student even if the student, his or her parents or any intermediary from another school makes the initial contact. In this situation, a coach or staff member (paid or unpaid) Sec. 3) PENALTY a) Any representative of a member school knowingly allowing the recruitment of a student for the purpose of participating in athletics or who should have known of this recruitment shall be guilty of willful neglect of duty, misconduct, or breach of contract. b) This shall apply not only to coaches, but also to personnel supervising coaches, including an athletic director, an assistant principal, a principal, an assistant superintendent, a superintendent or a school board member. c) This requirement shall also apply to students or their parents. should immediately refer the person(s) to the school principal http://khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/20132014/bylaw16.pdf

Most of Ryle's Freshman play on JV. Campbell looked really good in summer, have not seen them play yet. Cov Cath freshman players come off the bench in waves, it does not stop. Walton-V, if their players play down would be formidable as well.

It was a very entertaining night for basketball for all 3 games. JV game, SK was up by about 10pts and let it slip and HC came out with a 2 pt win. Stamper(8th grade) had an amazing game and led scoring for SK with 21 pts. Freshman game, a bit tighter for most of the game and HC came out on top for a 2 pt win. Sergent (7th grade) led scoring with 17 points for SK.

I believe Hickey and Sergent led Sk although I did not see the book.

Tight game until midway through 4th. Some pretty good players on both sides.

Highlight of the JV game I heard is when the SK girl was going in for a layup and got hooked with an arm and spun around twice to the ground with No foul and coach B Stowers erupted and got a Technical.

Hard fought game but SK got out hustled in down the stretch.

So does Trotwood, Kettering Alter etc...just like it is in Cincinnati and Northern Ky. Plus Wayne is a huge school. Where do you think Braxton Miller came from. Transfers are a bit more stringent in Ohio due to in large measure one football coach .

Krohman is a head scratcher. I hope at some point she returns to BB. Team has lots of potential especially with only 1 Sr on the roster. This and the next 2 yrs should have a good run especially with the 2 8th graders and the 7th grader coming up and helping. Going to be very deep the following 2yrs. Pretty tough schedule up front though.

No, out the entire year for his knee. For the record, Hawkins is the PG and this is Fries 2nd yr starting. He played started JV his Sophomore year.
