Ryle 51 Simon Kenton 48

This was a great game for the first week of the season. Both teams fought hard for all four quarters. Every possession was a battle. Allie Neace is simply incredible and hit some HUGE shots for SK with defenders in her face. SK will be formidable and tough match for anyone. Ryle shooting overall was not where it could have been during stretches of the game but Jones had a big night. This was more about every Lady Raider on the floor giving their all. Mistakes where made and the lead changed hands multiple times. In the end, Lady Raiders continued to battle and Ryles bigs were huge on the glass in the final close out. Eight Raiders went in the scoring books for this one and Lang and Jones hit clutch free throws down the stretch. Two solid teams...only one could win. Good luck to SK the rest of the way. As for Ryle..this is a team. A strong team. Now on to the next game of very tough December schedule.

Congrats Lady Raiders! Ryle executed the last 2 minutes and SK did not. Ryle made free throws, SK did not. Ball game! Meier is going to need a few games to get over the anxiety issues associated with injury recovery. She was tentative for 3 quarters.

Decision making by some of SK's experienced players was not very good. Ryle's bigs are more mobile than last year. Ryle is still vulnerable to pressure. Plenty to work in practice today for SK!

Highlight of the JV game I heard is when the SK girl was going in for a layup and got hooked with an arm and spun around twice to the ground with No foul and coach B Stowers erupted and got a Technical.
