  1. I have had the pleasure of watching the NCC team from the start of the year to finish. I wish they could of represented the 9th region in the State tournament, they create such tough match ups for majority of teams. I don't believe you can place any blame on the NCC coaching staff, gotta give Holmes the credit. Thought the NCC schedule was on point through the season (King of the Bluegrass, etc, incuding the All A), in preparation for their run at the Region. The stars lined up just right for Holmes and they played the best I've seen all year. Congratulations NCC, to a fine program, terrific young men, and wonderful families. I would hope each player will take something positive from this loss, (easier said then done) and have a absolute impact on their lives. After all that's why we love to play, coach, and watch the greatest game on the planet!
  2. I see Taylor Jolly been scoring well for the Camels. I like her style of play. She can light it up when she gets hot!
  3. Congratulations Madison! The Lady Raiders can create some noise in Late Feb early March if they are firing on all cylinders! Good LucKk
  4. LOUISVILLE MALE 69, RYLE 54 — The Raiders hung with Male, one of the state's top-ranked teams, for three quarters but the Bulldogs pulled away late for the road win. Ryle was tied with Male at the half and trailed by only four heading into the final stanza in part because of a game-high, 25-point effort by guard Madison Jones. The junior had a hot shooting night, hitting 10 of 15 shots from the field, including a pair of treys. Junior forward Aimee Jump added 13 to the Ryle effort. Male (15-1) got back in the win column after having its perfect record snapped by a 73-61 road loss at Henry Clay on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were led by sophomore forward Logan Calvert's 16 points and 15 from freshman guard Ciaja Harbison.
  5. I appreciate your input. But how do you know where she is playing and what plans they have for her. I know many Ryle players and they are in the dark as to what the season holds for them and the underclassmen. Ryle has a very strong junior class. Five of them are being recruited from D1 down...would be hard to keep any of them out of the line up and start an 8th pr 7th grader ahead of them.
  6. BYLAW 3 BYLAW 3. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS BYLAW 3. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS Sec. 1) LIMIT OF FOUR YEARS A student promoted from grade eight (8) to grade nine (9) shall have four (4) consecutive calendar years of eligibility from the date of fi rst promotion by the school provided the student is eligible according to this and all other Association bylaws. The eligibility shall conclude with the completion of the spring sports season following the fourth year. No additional eligibility may be granted in a case where the grant would allow a student to compete in all or part of the fi fth competitive season in a single sport following the initial promotion by the school from grade eight (8). Sec. 2) ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY The Ruling Offi cer and the Commissioner through the Due Process Procedure, may grant additional eligibility in the case where it has been documented by the attending physician, Principal and Superintendent that severe illness or injury has prevented the student from receiving necessary education services and the right to an education has therefore been impacted rather than simply the loss of athletic privilege. The grant of eligibility may only be made in the cases in which the student-athlete would remain eligible by all other Association bylaws. This provision shall not include additional eligibility strictly for loss of participation due to sports related injuries. No additional eligibility may be granted in a case where the grant would allow a student to compete in all or part of the fi fth competitive season in a single sport following the initial promotion by the school from grade eight (8).
  7. Check out BYLAW 3. Maximum Number of Years KHSAA BYLAWS,, Let me know your interpretation..
  8. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I was told moving a player up and only playing varsity was done on a gentlemans handshake. After reviewing KHSAA rules, it is clearly stated that it is a KRS that the principal approves any and all promotions. It also is clear that you can only have 5 years max eligibility at varsity level. If this is true, not sure why someone would forfeit their senior year....? Can anyone shed some light on this?
