Tell us more MM. If ESPN did a highlight reel of Boone's season what would be some of the top 10 moments. I ask because girls sports in NKY gets jack squat for coverage and I know there is talent out there that people should here about. Be as detailed as you can and feel free to look at some of my other posts for suggestions.

News coverage of girls sports is jokingly small and even smaller of NKY sports. So this is our chance to celebrate their accomplishments. I look forward to reading more.

Couple of BGP's have posted, would love to see more. Like to hear more about highlight performances and outstanding plays of the year. Things that if ESPN put together a top 10 highlight reel of your schools season what would be on it? For example, in the Scott vs Campbell County game, with time running down, Scott clings to a 65-63 lead, CC brings the ball up the court and with 2 seconds on the clock CC's Taylor Jolly (a young lady who we have enormous respect for) let's fly what will most likely be the game winning 3pointer. Seemingly out of nowhere, Holly Kallmeyer gets up in the air just enough to deflect the ball off course an Jeana Trempe comes up with the ball as time expires.

Would also like to here about some of the standout performances of significant highlights throughout the season (buzzer beaters, blocked shots, long range 3's).

PB, the beet part about preseason predictions is there is no accountability for them. BC had a great a season that I believe will only fuel their push to unseat Mason Co. For the 39th next year. Good Luck to you guys. Any standout memories or performances from the past season?

IMHO this season saw the Lady Eagles fly under the radar. Following the exit of key players, many POV's believed the Lady Eagles would be sub 500 and would struggle to be competitive in the 10th much less in NKY. I for one, am glad the girls felt differently. Highlights: Finished the season 20-10 Four players scoring over 300ppg and averaging 10+ per game (Clephane 410/13.7, Stapleton 376/12.5, Trempe 336/11.2, Kallmeyer 311/10.4) Four players with triple digit rebounds (Kallmeyer 141, Stapleton 141, Clephane 121, Meyer 101) IMHO big games for the Lady Eagles this year started early with big wins over Lexington Catholic and Bourbon County, followed by tough losses to Sacred Heart and Elizabethtown. Big games continued through the middle of the season with a bad loss to Ryle, followed by big wins over Simon Kenton and Bracken County. Then came wins over Campbell Co., GRC and Notre Dame, followed by a tough loss to Mason Co. Standout moments/performances this season: Jenna Trempe's 1000th point at the Christmas Tournament in Carroll County Anna Clephane's 26pts vs Simon Kenton Holly Kallmeyer's 20pts vs Notre Dame 7/11 including 75% from 3pt range Tori Dant's Buzzer Beater Madi Meyer dropping 2 three pointers after GRC's coach told his player to back off she can't hit the 3. Lexi Stapleton's 22 pts. against Cooper I am sure the are many more and would love to here about others. Congrats to the Lady Eagles on a hard fought successful season. With a core of Kallmeyer, Dant, Clephane and Stapleton returning next year I look for the Lady eagles to fly less under the radar but work hard to achieve another great season. Best of Luck to outgoing seniors, Jenna Trempe, Madison Meyer and Megan Brennan and thank you for a fantastic 4 years.

I encourage all BGP posters to find their schools beginning of the season thread and post an update on how the season turned out. What changed through out the season? Did any of the predictions come to fruition? Were there any disappointments? Line up changes? Stand out games? Stand out performances?

1st let me state the obvious: In a Basketball game you have 3 officials to manage 10 players, 4-6 coaches and a host of semi-hostel fans in the stands. This is not an easy job and certainly not for the thin of skin. Now that said the focus of an accountability program should not be to bash the referees but to support them with a useful critique and evaluation of their performance based on objective criteria such as missed calls, incorrect calls, improper rule implementation and game safety management. The game of basketball moves to fast to evaluate all of these categories live but the use of video provides a unique opportunity to review and evaluate in an unbiased unemotional setting. Additionally, video is typically taken from the POV of the harshest critics....the fans in the stands and would provide the referees an understanding of what the fans are upset about. How would I implement such a program. First, I am not a tech guy, but I believe the use of a system similar to HUDL that would allow an evaluator to comment on via a telestrator and submit to the assigned referee to review and self evaluate. Now, like everything the effectiveness of such a program will depend heavily on the right people in the right positions. First, you must have referees interested in performance improvement. Second, the evaluators must understand the system is about support not about slamming. Lastly, paying for such a program is always difficult. However, if such a program were to work it could be a model for other programs in other states and as a group garner a larger funding pool. Now, before anyone negatively, jumps my ideas, please know these are my humble opinions quickly typed out on a public forum and certainly not all encompassing of the thoughts about oversight I have had over the past many seasons.

Is this the young Lady who was the subject of a lot of controversy in another thread? Something to do with a mid season school change?

Great Job with the updates Goldie. But question.....you mentioned Skinner out for injury then back in and missed 8 straight from the line. She is a great player and I know this is uncharacteristic of her. Is she OK, or did the injury affect her shooting? Congrats to both teams on great seasons and a big shout out to GRC on the win.

Great game by both teams. In the end I believe the press wore down Bishop Brossart and forced passes that resulted in enough turnovers for Campbell to keep its lead and at the end to stretch it out.

OK ya'll, all this Holmes talk aside IMHO we have the 1st upset and resulting elimination of the tournament with Augusta pulling out the OT win over Bracken County. Congrats to both teams on great seasons and to the Lady Panthers moving forward in the tournament.

Taking nothing away from Augusta, but I did not see this game going this way. Congrats to the Lady Bears on a great season and to the Lady Panthers on a great win. Looking forward to hearing more about this game as well the box scores.
