Proud to be an Eagle!!!

Congratulations Coach Klette

Congrats to Coach Klette! She does a great job at Scott and is always a class act! :thumb:

I would have went with Stoll from NCC as coach of the year in the 9th, what he has done after losing Kiernan and Lewis has been great. Although Richey is a very good coach not sure how to judge her performance this year. She returned everyone but one player who did not play much last year.

You know I'm an HHS fan and love Coach Richey and her staff, but I can't argue with you too much. I think Stoll has done an outstanding job with the Breds this year! Richy is consistent and has developed this group internally over the years to get them where they are and perhaps she's reaping the benefits of that now, but again, I wouldn't have had any issue if Stoll got it.

Don't you judge it by the team record ? 28-3

The fact that she coached a team to only 3 losses, with a margin on 6 points total, 2 of them OT, that could have easily resulted in wins, to the top 2 teams in the Region. The argument could be to Holmes Head not getting it, but would you taint that because of his transfers success and only losing 1 game? Just because she returned all 5 starters, there were an awful lot of teams out there stacked as well, and besides, they were voted by their peers, not fans opinions. You rarely see "coaches of the year" with a mediocre year of wins vs losses.

Some of the "great coaches" are "coaches of the year" not because of their coaching, but because of their great players. I'm sure LeBron James HS coach didn't need to do a ton of "coaching" with the talent he had walking in the door.

Not at all saying she isn't deserving, but I look at what teams lost and what teams return the following season. Richey returned more than just all 5 starters she returned a good bench as well. Although I think NCC is one big girl away who can play from being with the 9th regions big 3, Stoll has done a great job of adjusting to what he has and getting them to play hard every game, when you have a Loren Zimmerman playing the 4 and the 5 which is a miss match size wise every game and winning he is doing a great job.

Just for the record, I'm neutral in this argument and have said my opinion on the situation. And I agree that they are one good big away. However, he does have the best PG in NKY. And everyone knows winning starts with good guard play. So you're right, but the cupboard isn't bare when you have Ware!!! That should be her campaign slogan!!

NCC went 0-4 against the "Big 3" Highlands, Holmes, Holy Cross. No way that gets you COTY. Probably had to beat at least one of them to be considered.

Congrats to Coach Clay Birdwhistell! Very deserving in a region full of great coaches!
