  1. Final from Taylor Mill. Really fun game to watch. Scott has now beat Campbell Co Mason Co. and a really solid GRC team. Go Lady Eagles!!!
  2. Not at full strength....but seems to be on the mend.
  3. Asaaaand Sacred Heart runs away with it in the 4th. Final 67-48 Good effort by the Lady Eagles!!!
  4. Halftime score Sacred Heart 31 Scott 29 Scott playing pretty darn good defense.
  5. More fuel for the fire - http://kyprephoops.com/1617/2016PreKYGirls.pdf Surprised Scherr is rated that low if it's based on college potential. Evidently she already has some big time offers. Clephane is not even on that list and she has an offer from Ball State and a lot of other D1 interest with many visits scheduled. SO...I would not put much stock in where people are listed and if that qualifies people to have "college potential" or not.
  6. AND in the previous quote by hydraman...he is saying that you should punish players because they are on a "lesser team" in his opinion. It is not about that.
  7. That is absolutely not what I said. I merely said I agreed with the list in that one could argue any of those 1st team players listed could go up against any of the lower ones one on one. I am never going to dis any player. I think they all deserve to be on the list as do some who are not. But you cannot attack the ones who did and question where they are based on a game or your notion of your team. Team play is imperative and more important than any one player...that is why it is a team sport. And those team that are successful gelling are most successful. This list is simply the 10th regions coaches opinions of the individual players they have seen this year who were placed on the ballad.
  8. Just wow. Not sure you get how this works. Specific games mean nothing. CC girls may be "better" in some opinions, because they play well as a team. Opportunities are created for players because of other players and plays on the floor. But player for player, looking at individual abilities, stats, play...I'd take Cummings, Stapleton, Clephane, Igo, Schultz one on one over Jolly or Clos any day. Absolutely all of these girls are great basketball players and fun to watch and I would never take away from any one of them, because I love to watch each one play, but this list is about individual players. They are nominated and voted upon by coaches that have seen them all play. In their opinions, individually, these are the players that rank where they are placed on this list. Your disappointment at others not even on the list....are you sure they were nominated? That's a gripe with your coach. No need to slam other teams. Some of these players play without a lot of support around them and they still are able to do what they do. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses, but this is saying... overall... player for player... in the opinion of the 10th region coaches... this is the list....these are the girls who got the most votes in descending order for their individual athleticism, abilities, skills, whatever else. Don't discredit them and their hard work this year by saying "our girls are better". They may very well be better as a team and post season will show who comes out on top. I would not doubt we see CC and Mason at the top of the list. You will have your moment. Let these girls have theirs.
  9. I don't know how anyone can say that that was not an enjoyable game to watch. It's high school basketball. These were two evenly matched teams that were both very competitive and played hard for the entire game. No game is going to be perfectly officiated, no game is going to be without mistakes, bobbles, blunders. This was not a blow out, it was not slow and boring. It was a fun, up tempo, high scoring game, and no one was badly hurt. These are all good girls playing a game they love, many of whom have played together for years. It was an exciting game. Parents should have enjoyed watching and be very proud of their daughters efforts.
  10. SCOTT Clephane 11-6-29 Wagner 3-1-7 Davis 1-2-4 Brown 1-0-2 Stapleton 7-7-24 Secrist 3-1-7 Profit 1-0-2 SK Stamper 3-0-6 Gilliam 1-2-5 Neace 9-10-29 Buckner 7-2-17 Meier 5-2-12 Dressman 3-2-9
  11. I have seen both teams play fast and aggressive and both play slow and sloppy. I think it's anyone's game. Depends on who shows up and who wants it more. Either way I think it will be a fun game to watch. You have four talented freshmen (Clos, Schwarber, Clephane and Stapleton) who all play AAU ball together. They will enjoy this game and push each other to a high level. The teammates around them on both teams are talented as well and bring some experience and leadership to the floor. Really the teams are quite comparable and again, I look forward to see how the game unfolds. GO LADY EAGLES!!!!
  12. 2015 KABC Girls Regional Coaches of the Year Region 10:Rhonda Klette – Scott High Proud to be an Eagle!!! Congratulations Coach Klette
  13. Scott girls got in their own way last night. Hope it was a (hard) lesson learned. They have so much potential. Highlands has some great players. They were fun to watch!
  14. These girls are all very different players and each bring something special to the game. As teammates they really compliment each other and as competitors they bring a whole other level of competition to the high school games. I look forward to watching these freshmen grow. They are lovely young ladies : )
  15. First off, it looks like the Scott haters are the ones continuing this thread the last several pages. It is sad really. Let a team enjoy a win. It did mean a lot to them. Let them celebrate. Who are you to say how and how much is necessary. They played well. They won. End of story. Most importantly I would say that Coach Klette has handled being stabbed in the back quite well. If you dislike her, leave. You don't have to keep complaining as you are walking out the door (and months beyond). All you haters have hated for a long time...about the time that she moved Neace up and tried to do what was best for an athlete and a program. Ironic that this is what you are all so passionately defending. That athlete. That varsity experience. Coach WAS promised the long run (many heard it and it WAS in the papers) She was lied to and manipulated. She was used as was the program/school. Did she have a part in that? Certainly. Decisions are made on teams everyday and you do so based on what you know to be true. The leaving and HOW it was done was wrong. But so be it. Its over. And you don't have to defend all the reasons you think it was a good move for her. It was their decision and they have every right to it. As do the Eagles have every right to celebrate their team. The Lady Eagles move on. Don't be bitter if they have some success (I'm sure you would have rather seen them fail). Don't keep telling them they would be better off with players who are gone. Don't shame their fans for trying to be positive about their girls and their program. They deserve their own success. Those girls have talent and speed, and heart. It IS to be celebrated. If you want to celebrate your team by all means do so. But why does it have to be at the downfall of Scott? Good luck SK. Enjoy your athletes. Enjoy your games.
