  1. All - I apologized to JOAT via PM for my pot shot take last night. I shouldn't have done it and, in turn, I apologize to the rest that have viewed this thread. But, Bosshog - you trying to take the high road is laughable. Too much of a track record otherwise. Again, sorry for the pot shot and for diverting the thread.
  2. It means I typed something unrelated to your post and deleted it. I put edit in there just to fill the space. Had nothing to do with anything you posted.
  3. This has no basis. Swingin' in the dark! I simply re-stated what your contingent has said about other HHS hoops losses.
  4. Well, you're reaching there and I won't go any further because it's pointless... But, I do apologize. My original post was snarky. However, everything I listed was straight out of HHS hoops threads. In all seriousness, legitimate effort by high school athletes should always be applauded. Good luck in districts!
  5. BTW - a great deal of the "non-sense" you refer to can be found in HHS hoops threads this year.
  6. CCH hoops has a bright future. Talk about greatest dynasty in the history of the 9th Region is foolish. Might I point out, one more time, the thread was not started by a CCH booster.
  7. Jack of all Trades - I'll sum it up for you: 1. Proud of how hard the Birds played... 2. So and so quit this week to go back to football... 3. Listerman has them headin' in the right direction... 4. The Middle School program is in great shape - look out! Is that about right?
  8. Sorry, out of respect for one of the finest football players to ever play for CCH, it's Woolf! My guess is #5, or someone other than the first four listed. BTW, I still chuckle at the thought of "little smiley" at CCH - safe to say hell would freeze over before either side would consider such madness.
  9. The article in this morning's paper reads as if Bo Schuh hasn't heard much from the college ranks. Anyone hear anything about college interest in any of the CCH seniors? I'd imagine there's a place out there for at least a couple.
  10. It was 1994 - Dale's first year. 42-6 at HHS and 7-3 at CCH in playoffs.
  11. Well, if Duffy didn't leave until after the '93 season, then maybe it was Duffy, because I think the season I am thinking of was '93. I thought that was Dale's first season for some reason. I thought Duffy left after winning the state title in '92. But, I'm far from a Highlands football historian.
  12. Duffy was your coach in '88. I also believe Ray beat Dale twice in '93 or '94. Didn't Duffy leave right after winning in '92?
  13. Thanks all. I have unintentionally derailed the thread. Back to Beau's role at BYU...
  14. Gotcha, thanks. It would be interesting to see if that policy would hold up if a kid wanted to challenge it legally, provided he/she accumulated requisite credits to meet the graduation standard. With that said, I am firmly in the camp that supports disallowing early graduation - I like the idea of a kid finishing high school in the traditional manner. The other point I wanted to make is that if a kid did graduate from Highlands early, I don't see why that would in any way be an indictment on Highlands' commitment to academic excellence, or lack thereof.
  15. Just curious, what would an emphasis on academics have to do with a kid graduating or not graduating early? Is it because Highlands requires more credits to graduate than whatever is the national high school standard?
