Lets take a trip down memory lane. If I'm wrong I'm sure you will let me know. Wasn't Boyle County vs. Highlands the last game you were at in the fort? Did home field advantage play any part in the outcome of that game? I don't remember the score but it wasn't pretty. Did Boyle Co. walk through the gates think they were going to kick Highlands butt? Do you think other teams this year are going to have the same mind set as BC when entering the stadium? Anybody that thinks Highlands can't put together 2 or 3 good games against teams that are in the same class, with their backs against the wall, are very uninformed. If it gets to that point I hope all visiting teams take Highlands for granted. If it's not at HHS, just insert CCH.

Please don't take my posts about any team as disrespect, it wasn't meant to be. I'm just saying it's not out of question that CCH and HHS can pull the upset. Teams that travel a long distance in a bus and play in different surroundings could present problems for that team. Highlands and CCH have a knack of being extra good at home over the years. If not this year, so be it. If you've never been to a game at CCH, it's a whole new world from Friday nights. Just remember, it's why they play the game. 75 Center made some very good posts and I agree with him 100%.

Interesting for sure. Come to play a playoff game on a Saturday afternoon in Park Hills, after playing under the lights on Friday nights. It's a big change in routine, and could very well be the home field advantage that Cov-Cath needs to pull off the upset in the playoffs. It's not like Highlands has never pulled the upset. It's a different setting for sure when you walk into DCMS. The fans will be walking through the visitors sidelines, and there is no track between the bleechers and the side lines. Construction all over the place. Tough place to get a win.

I say HHS wins by the score of 17-14 on a last second 41 yard FG.

I think most schools have enough coaches on their staff to "scout" without causing too much turmoil. Nice win for the Birds!!

I got a family picture on the field after a game. Something was wrong, one of the family didn't look like one of the family, then I looked closer, it was DALE.

I couldn't resist. :thumb: OHS had a great team last year, lots of Bird fans were a little worried at half time. If OHS has a team like last year, 5A teams should take notice.

If's and buts................. Now that you mention it, OHS didn't give anything away. OHS got out played and out coached by Highlands in the second half. My shrink say's I'm normal. :lol2:

Yes they do!! I know for a fact. I was sitting in the stands watching two 4A teams. A group of guys sat right in front of me with their clipboards and felt tip pens. They were doing the X's and O's, just like all coaches do. I got curious so I looked over their shoulders, only 2 out of 11 had names on them. They may not know every name on the team, but know "by name" who the difference makers are. Obviously, these were scouts and as they were leaving I asked them what team they were scouting and they said "both." To this day I don't know what school they were from. .

That's a great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highlands coaches love kids that quit the team, then come back their senior year expecting to be a starter. Seriously, you don't know much about Highlands football program do you? I'll tell you this, seniority means nothing over talent, the best players play, period!! That's a fact.

There were many more listed in the 5 per game category. I was just looking to the record book to see the last time somebody did it. It's been a while. Before any one jumps on me, I'm not degrading any particular player. There is a lot of things that cause interceptions, great DB's, hurried passes, errors on receivers, receivers unable to get open or run the wrong route etc etc. Birds need to get ready to beat some 5A teams. Practice hard guys, there is a state title ready for the taking, all you have to do is earn it. Stay focused, you got to believe.

Twenty some thing years ago you claim Highlands ran up the score on SK and your still having nightmares about it. It was so terrible that you want to run up the score on Highlands? SK will have to leave their starters in to beat Highlands 80 to nothing, is that what the coaches goals are? I don't believe so. The 80 to 0 score came about because SK's 1st team players could not beat the 2nd and 3rd team of Highlands. Grin and bare it, that's the FACT!! Highlands fans certainly don't think they are better than everyone else, they think their team was better than anyone else and they proved it especially the last 7 or 8 years.

What????????????? Are you kidding me? Why would somebody transfer to Highlands when you have all those great 6A teams/schools in NKY? :wave:
