Another debate continues: Bowling Green or Pulaski County? Owensboro may have something to say about it as well. Will anyone in the Top 10 be challenged this week? Who else should be in the discussion for the Top 10? Who should move out?

Owensboro may have lost one of their best defensive players for the year last week. Potential All-State LB Gekove Gardner went down with a knee injury that MAY be season ending. I hate injuries and wish the young man the best.

Thanks to Owensboro's depth, it should not hurt them until they play someone on this list again.

Pulaski has been without RB1 Jaylon Conwell the last two games...hopefully he get's healthy over the next couple of weeks. I'm not sure what his injury or status is at this point.

Pulaski County is deserving of #1 but I'm not bent out of shape about it.

Pulaski should be number 1. They are the defending state champions, not Bowling Green. Both teams have 1 lopsided loss this year to a 6A team. However, Pulaski's loss was to #3 Scott County and Bowling Green's loss was to #6 St. Xavier (who lost to a 3A team). I just don't see given their resumes that Bowling Green can be ranked number 1.

OK Joe, I'll play. But set the stage by saying I don't think Pulaski gets alot of respect on here by the overall posters. They did win the championship Last Year and Riley Hall is as good a QB as there is in the State with WRs to match.

Having said that, you are correct in your info about the teams both have lost to, but what about the teams they have beaten. BG has beaten #3 Owensboro (granted it was a close game), who IMO doesn't get as much credit on this site either because they are right there this year with our 2. BG also won at Christian County #6 in this poll. Please don't mention Henry Clay as a defense as I feel Central Hardin is a better team than them. So where does that leave us, me arguing for my team and you for yours. I'm good either way really because I don't get hung up in it, but my defense rests for This Year right now BG 1!

I don't mind OHS not getting a lot of attention. I know what OHS has. If not for an epic meltdown last year in the state championship they beat Highlands. I give the Birds all the credit for coming back, but anyone with a right mind knows OHS gave that one away. So I'll just set back and be content with OHS flying under the radar. Being #1 at the end of the season is all that matters anyway. Just ask the OHS basketball team last year.

For the record, BG and Pulaski deserve to be ranked ahead of OHS. Pulaski is the defending champs and BG beat OHS head to head. Just wanted to be clear about that.

First off, I'm a Somerset fan. Second, do you not want me to mention Henry Clay because you think Central Hardin is better than them? I think maybe you don't want them mentioned because they lost to St. Xavier by 27 points and Bowling Green lost to the same St. Xavier team by 26 points. Given that Pulaski County shut them out and beat them by 43 I'd say that weighs heavily in my argument. Well, that and the whole Pulaski, not Bowling Green, is the defending 5A champs.

Take it to the bank Joe because I'm not going to change your mind with words with this kind of reasoning. Good luck and hope Somerset makes it to the playoffs!

If's and buts.................

Now that you mention it, OHS didn't give anything away. OHS got out played and out coached by Highlands in the second half.

My shrink say's I'm normal. :lol2:

I knew it wouldn't take long, lol. I agree on the if's and butts part. Those two things never won a single game. You bolded some of my quotes there but you forgot the part where I stated that "I give the Birds all the credit for coming back". I take nothing away for ya'll. You stated OHS got outcoached and outplayed which is true, but it was more the outcoaching part than anything. Highlands couldnt guard #13 Rodney Collier in a phone booth and yet the coaches forgot he existed in the second half. Water under the bridge and Highlands will always be the 2014 4A champs.

The better team doesn't always win and I'll always be convinced OHS was better than Highlands last year. Highlands has the rings which is the only thing that matters.

I couldn't resist. :thumb: OHS had a great team last year, lots of Bird fans were a little worried at half time. If OHS has a team like last year, 5A teams should take notice.

Personally, I'm very intrigued with Fern Creek. I think they will make a lot of noise come November.
