Eagle, how do you see the Owensboro game playing out?

Personally, I'm very intrigued with Fern Creek. I think they will make a lot of noise come November.

 

I hear ya BBJ, I personally think they make it to the semi-final game and then anything could happen.

I would say the state champion will be in the top 4 - big dropoff after that. I'm not sleeping on Fern Creek I think they are going to make it a game vs. anyone they play. I think Pulaski has an easier road to the finals than the teams from the west.

Well, I personally believe Owensboro will give graves a fit..graves is big and strong in the trenches but absolutely lack a pass defense..running the ball, Owensboro will have average success..if they come out throwing then graves could be in a heap of trouble.graves has a freshman qb that has thrown many interceptions, but as been amazing at times..if going with my gut, and sense it's a home game.im going graves with the upset over Owensboro 28-24, giving graves the district title and home field advantage in the playoffs..jmo..

So I guess your also saying Graves will beat Christian County..

I'd be surprised if Graves beats Christian County, and I would say with full faith that they won't beat Owensboro.

Owensboro trounced Graves in scrimmage if I recall.

Unless Mr. Crider is coming back and suiting up for the game, Owensboro will win by 35. If Crider shows up, Graves County will only lose by 21.

You never know how games will go but I think it's a longshot for Graves to beat Christian County, let alone Owensboro.

Eagle they have steadily gotten better as the year has gone on. The freshman QB is going to be really good, they always find big guys and a running back. I just don't know how good they will be by the end of the year. Time is running out and that region is very tough as always. They should return strong in years to come though, I do not seem them staying down for long.

Good points Map, this is why I don't understand why Marshall County is SO down! I don't expect them to be State Champions, but just competitive. I don't know...

Speed!! Marshall hasn't had any since the Williams kid 7/8 years ago. Graves has had 3 good backs with good speed the last 4 years. Graves is well coached and big upfront with above average RB's. Now they got a young QB who will spread it around for the next serveral years.
