I guess you have never heard of, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush? Let's see, do I want my college paid for, or take a chance and pay for my college out of my pocket? People aren't knocking down the doors right now, but that could change as the season progresses.

Are you serious? So, if you play football for Highlands and your 6'2ish and weigh 210- 220ish you can go to Central Michigan on a scholly because Gino the alum is the recruiter? How many people walking the halls of Highlands have about the same size and weight? Heck, they don't even have to be on the football team according to you. Fire up those greyhounds a whole bunch of people are getting schollys. High school QB's get moved to tight end in college. It happens all the time.

I don't know what athletes you are talking about. Three starting O-lineman two running backs, and many receivers that played A LOT on the state title team from last year. They have a place kicker that will be kicking field goals on a D1 scholly, on Saturdays. They have a D1 QB with an offer from Central Michigan. I'm sure that there is a lot more that I have left out. This Highlands football team has plenty of athletes, just trying to figure out who's playing where. I will tell you this, take Highlands lightly or over look them, and you'll have a longer than normal trip back to the "ville." There is one huge difference from last year, and this player is doing everything possible to carry this team to another state title. How much he improves will be the key to Highlands success. Go Birds!!

Highlands needs to look at film and find out where #44 for Ryle was coming from. He was in the backfield every play and had Hergott running for his life. That's why he was rolling out. Great FG for Dougherty (sp?). I guess they took my advice with the straight jacket, blind fold, and spun him around 10 times before his attempt. If this young man doesn't end up at a major college with a D1 scholly something is wrong. I know it's hard to get recruited as a kicker but this is the very best cream of the crop kicker that Ive ever seen in HS.

Why don't you get off your high horse? Obviously the money isn't the thing that keep people from getting to the game. Lots of people have to work and the grandparents of some of these players aren't healthy enough to attend. I can promise you, that if you live in Ft. Thomas , 99.99999 % of the people that live there can afford the $6 admission price. (Geez, back at ya.)

Obviously, I'd like to see another "again," but this one should be a dandy. Both teams have been battle tested.

It's hard for me to believe Cooper and Conner would elect to play T, X, Male and Scott Co. even if HHS and CCH were at their best.

Show me where I said Cooper was stupid. It didn't happen, nice try. Why so offensive? Just agree that someone in the Cooper organization made a mistake by moving up in class. Your blowing everything up more than it should be. Your the only Cooper fan on BGP that gets upset about EVERYTHING. Now you got "you know who" started and he won't let up until he drives you crazy. :lol: As far as Highlands goes, if they get knocked out of the playoffs, so be it. We can handle it.

The jury is still out. I'd rather play Pulaski or BG(who just got blown out by X) than to play the likes of T, X, Male and SC to bring home a title. Kind of a no brainer? :thumb:

Who's Muller? He spent his whole entire adult life making Highlands a dynasty. He retired in 13 and Highlands won state in 14. So your theory is a moot point. I like it when people get on here and tell us what Dale was thinking, mind readers all over the place.

You got a crystal ball? How do you know HHS or CCH will not win a title. Three weeks in and you know the out come of the title game? I don't know much about CCH, other than their NFL schedule. HHS, on the other hand, isn't belly up yet. I've seen less talented HHS teams win state titles. I can't believe people are "throwing in the towel" on HHS, considering their 100 year history. Your the only one arguing. The rest of us morons are pretty much in agreement. :lol2:

There is nothing wrong with a challenge if you can benefit from it. Is Cooper benefitting for playing in 6A? I think not. In 5A they would have a real chance of bringing home a state champ trophy. In 6A all they can say is we played the best and lost, or, we beat Highlands, but sadly there is no trophy for that. Seriously, good luck to Cooper for the rest of the season.
