  1. Game ended with about 13 minutes remaining. HC staff basically conceded the match before it was started by packing 8 guys (plus keeper) in the box in the first half with apparently instructions never to leave and/or clear out. Even on odd occasions when HC could clear the ball into the CCH end, the HC defenders would stay put. Second half they were allowed to play a bit more and it was more interesting for both sides I think.
  2. I had assumed Holmes would win this but I really haven't seen either team this year. Should be an interesting match up tomorrow with CCH.
  3. I think Highlands has trouble with the Ryle defense and it ends up 2-0 Ryle
  4. Not only did we have those 15 people but we had a small but vocal Colonel Crazy contingent that clearly rattled a few of your players. If you're going to play D1 you really need to learn to deal with those types of distractions more maturely. I thought that center mid of Summit was going to have a meltdown.
  5. I'd say a fair result. CCH will be looking back on the first half and wondering what could have been. Several very good chances and none were converted. Summit plays 3 in the back and Griffin Lamb was getting outside and by the Summit defense with regularity in the first 20 minutes in particular. They had nobody to handle him 1v1 in my opinion. Possession was pretty even early but as the half went on Summit got more possession. Still, CCH was able to counter very well on Summit.
  6. Nice effort by CCH in a losing effort after falling behind 3-0.
  7. 3-2 Summit second half. Colonels giving Summit all they want.
  8. Summit 1 CCH 0 at the half. CCH has had some point blank chances. Summit goal with about 5 mins left in the half.
  9. They will certainly possess the ball and they have in the past. I believe they just pounded Sycamore over the weekend 8-1. They also beat St. X handily.
  10. I'd say this is the best team that CCH will see all year, Just as they were last year. Good prep game to get them ready for the post-season. With that said, I think they will have trouble putting more than one goal up on Summit while at the same time keeping them off the board. CCH defense is playing well but this is a tall task. I'll say 3-1 Summit. The loss of Jacob Blom is a big blow to CCH. Out 4 weeks the last I heard.
  11. Two JV teams with no varsity players.
  12. The Ryle keeper taking a PK was a major coaching blunder in my opinion. Kid had enough pressure already and adding that was a mistake. It is nice to see two actual JV teams make the final.
  13. I was at the opposite end of the field so I couldn't see it. If I recall, the Conner people were at my end as well. The foul called on the Conner player when he beat the Highlands keeper to a 50/50 ball was a very bad call. That was late second half.
  14. I assume you are talking about the goal that came off the crossbar and down and was called a goal?
  15. CCH 1 Calvary 0 final
  16. CCH 1 Calvary 0 at the half.
  17. I don't recall Highlands having a shot on goal. Most of the game was played in their half from what I saw.
  18. Highlands 2 Ryle 1 (PK's) Ryle completely dominated the game.
  19. Ryle and Highlands going to PK's
  20. Ryle and Highlands tied at 1-1 in the second half. Highlands goal on a PK gift from the ref.
  21. Semi-final matchups: CCH vs Calvary Ryle vs Highlands
  22. So, one side of the bracket the 11:30 games are: CCH vs Cooper Calvary vs Simon Kenton I believe at 10 am it is: Conner vs Highlands Ryle vs. St. Henry Someone correct that if it's not correct.
  23. OK, thought it was 1-1 at the end of regulation, I was watching from the adjoining field.
