Tuesday night at 8pm Holmes travels to Beechwood for a rematch. Holmes took a 2-1 win in the regular season off a golden goal 15 seconds into ET.

 

With a Beechwood win, it will be their FIRST EVER REGIONALS appearance

 

With a Holmes win, it will be their first regional appearance in about 15 YEARS.

 

Who wins this one? Why?

Both teams enjoying good seasons. I give Holmes a slight edge and think it could be a repeat of the last meeting. Holmes 2-1 in ET.

This game is going to be a battle. But I think Holmes has the edge here, beechwood is a very solid team but I agree with Sir!

Holmes goalie is back and at full health. I believe both teams are at full strength only difference this game is Holmes no longer has Yewitt on their team, if I heard correctly he is studying abroad??

I think Brian Benito (sp?) at Holmes headed out at the end of the season last year to Germany on the same program. Of course, if Holmes beats Beechwood tonight the whole team gets a shot at Germany Thursday. Allez Holmes!

Not "NO" chance. France beat Germany 2-0 in the Euro semis and then Portugal dropped France in the finals. Germany nearly lost in the quarter-final but Neuer saved their bacon. HC beating CCH is much longer odds than Portugal winning Euro 2016, but...

 

If Holy Cross packs it in, Zach Combs plays lights out, woodwork looms large, and the game somehow gets through regulation and ET then... yes, I'd say HC has something more than NO chance.

HC packed it, 10 behind the ball at all times through the first 20-30 minutes.

HC keeper played well, can't say any of the 10 goals were a direct result of anything he did wrong.

The woodwork did play its part, in helping the game go on a little longer.

The game doesn't even get through regulation, over in the 67th minute.
