  1. Not at the game but 0-0 in the first half. My reports say CCH is getting dominated early.
  2. I'd agree with that. I don't see a dominate team in Ky this year so whoever comes out of the 9th region has a chance to make a run in my opinion.
  3. Looks to be pretty accurate to me. I'd probably flip Campbell and Simon Kenton. CCH should find out where they stand this week with away games at Ballard, McNick and Trinity.
  4. That is a bit of a shocker. BG must really be down this year. Hopkinsville plays Oldham County later today so we'll see if they can keep it up.
  5. Just a guess but I would say that girls playing soccer is not nearly as common or acceptable in these countries as it is here so they probably are just not involved.
  6. Gotta love the N. Ky. Tribune. At least someone is covering soccer in N. Ky. Congrats to Adam Snow. Looks to me like he's joining a good squad from what I saw on Sunday. Leading scorer on Cooper boys’ soccer team makes college commitment | NKyTribune
  7. Nice story in the N. Ky. Tribune on the Boone program and some of the challenges that the staff faces over there. Boone County boys’ soccer team setting example of cultural acceptance | NKyTribune
  8. Agreed but they also need to get their outside backs into the attack. It was a major component of their scheme last season but has been absent so far this year. Lots of standing around without the ball and watching the other players dribble.
  9. While not there to witness the first yellow, kicking the ball out of play as he's walking off would be considered unsportsmanlike and would justifiably garner a yellow card. It could also be considered dissent I would think.
  10. I heard this one was called early after a Paris player was red carded and he promptly punched the ref in the face. Can any officials confirm that account?
  11. Colonels in my opinion need to try some new things offensively to generate consistent pressure against quality teams. 2 shutouts in the last 3 games does not bode well for them as the tougher part of the schedule begins. Would love to see a lineup with Stava/Wulfeck up top, Griffin Lamb wide right, Jacob Blom on the left side and Schutt/Russo in the middle of the field.
  12. Looks like the recruitment of all the good soccer athletes by the football coach is really starting to take its toll on the Brossart soccer program.
  13. Cooper starting to look like a dark horse in the ninth region. Solid defense and they are scoring some goals.
  14. Major struggle for CCH to find any rhythm in this one in a game they should probably lost. I think probably zero shots on goal in the first half.
  15. Just like the spanking they received in football, the cake eaters are going down again to Campbell County by a score of 2-1.
  16. Yes, he played 75 minutes yesterday, probably more than any other frosh on the roster but I wasn't keeping that close of an eye on the others. Versatile players usually will find themselves on the field more often than others. On a side note, about half the NKU starting lineup was foreign born and quite frankly, not all that impressive. Not sure about the Evansville lineup as they didn't announce it but if you want to generate some interest in your program there is plenty of home grown talent that is just as good as what I saw on the field for NKU.
  17. I think this is an easy win for St. Henry, probably 5-0. Tough week for Boone as they visit CCH under the temporary lights on Thursday.
  18. I'd agree that both teams lost a lost a lot from last year but I think Elder lost more than CCH. I saw both Sabato and Bryce Day in action yesterday for NKU and I'd have to say that Day looked more comfortable out there than Sabato did. I find it curious that both players, who are natural attacking players, were slotted at outside back for NKU. Day has done his share of defending in the past and did well yesterday. No knock on Sabato but I'd guess that he's not played much defender in the past, if ever.
  19. Hard to say w/ the injury situation for CCH. I heard Stava has a concussion so I would think he's out. Not sure what the status of Mike Vogt is either. Regardless, I think CCH has enough to win this either way. I'll go w/ CCH 3-2.
  20. Not sure either of these teams is all that good but I'll go with BG in this one just on a hunch.
  21. This is certainly going to throw the Maher rankings into a tizzy...
  22. Who did the rest of the scoring for CCH?
  23. Ryle has had some offensive issues with three shutouts in a row. I would think that would change given their upcoming schedule but from the looks of it, this is a game they should have won.
  24. I really only caught the first 15 minutes or so of this game and was surprised to hear the final score. CCH was completely dominating the early going and it looked to be a pending blowout. Cam Berling finished a cross from Lamb to open scoring and then Lamb sent another across the box later that an East Central player knocked in for an own goal. Not sure who had the others for CCH and was surprised that East Central scored twice. I did hear that CCH suffered a couple injuries but no details.
  25. You are correct that there is no credit given on CCH stats for either goal but I'm not sure why. The first goal, late in the first half was a nice strike from distance so definitely not an own goal. I really don't recall the second goal he scored to be honest but he had two.
