Nice story in the N. Ky. Tribune on the Boone program and some of the challenges that the staff faces over there.

Boone County boys’ soccer team setting example of cultural acceptance | NKyTribune

Really cool article, thanks for sharing.

Quick and somewhat random question: I've watched the Boone girls practice 2 or 3 times this Fall, and off the top of my head, I don't recall their team seeming to be nearly as internationally diverse as how the boys' team is described in the article. Is my memory incorrect or is there that big of a discrepancy in internationalism between the boys' team and the girls' team?

Thanks GP.

Just a guess but I would say that girls playing soccer is not nearly as common or acceptable in these countries as it is here so they probably are just not involved.

The Boone girls team is not as diverse as the Boone's boys team.

Interesting article. I didn't know there were so many different nationalities represented on the team.

Gives you a little bit of perspective on the challenges the team faces, as well as, the unique benefits that come from being in a diverse school.

Nate Rice is an outstanding young man. I don't know Abdi as well but he seems to be as well.

Hats off to Boone County soccer. Good stuff happening there for players and fans alike.
