Covington Catholic 4 East Central (IN) 2
CCH had their way with East Central last year but this is normally a physical, hard fought game that is close on the scoreboard. I still think CCH is routinely the better and more technical team. If they have everyone on the field and they play with some intensity I'll go 2-1 CCH.

Walnut Hills (OH) 1 Covington Catholic 0
Out for the season according to what his dad told me at the game.
-
La Salle (OH) 5 Bishop Brossart 1
I'd think LaSalle has an easy time in this game.
-
Covington Catholic 56 Oak Hills (OH) 48
I agree with this 100 percent. Catholic or public, give it a rest on Sunday. It's high school. Too many people afraid to speak up.

Walnut Hills (OH) 1 Covington Catholic 0
Ibra is out for the season with a knee injury. Back in November/December hopefully.

Walnut Hills (OH) 1 Covington Catholic 0
I'm more concerned about CCH offensively than anything. Their defense will be fine and I doubt many teams will put up a big number on them but they seem to be having an issue with scoring early on in the season other than the game vs. an overmatched Scott team.

Cooper 3 Campbell County 0
Well, I obviously had this one wrong. I'd like to hear some details as well. Surprised the CC could not find the net because I thought they looked pretty good when I saw them.
-
Anderson 3 Ryle 0
So, obviously Anderson is pretty good if they had an easy time with Ryle, who was only beaten 1-0 by Moeller. Time will tell where they fit in the N. Ky. landscape.

Walnut Hills/ Covington Catholic updates
Still down 1-0 with 8 minutes left. Offense is a no show in this game so far.

Walnut Hills/ Covington Catholic updates
1-0 at half

Walnut Hills/ Covington Catholic updates
Walnut Hills turns a bad defensive giveaway by CCH into a breakaway goal and leads 1-0 with 7 minutes left in the first half. CCH has missed some easy chances. They are playing much of the bench.

KHSAA Stat Leaders 8-25
If I recall, Henry Clay didn't report stats but their goals against average was right there with CCH.

KHSAA Stat Leaders 8-25
As the season wears on, the most important category to view will be the team defense/goals allowed. Teams that play a quality schedule and have a good team defense will be there at the end of the year. These teams with the gaudy goal scoring players will probably be nowhere to be found.

Covington Catholic at Walnut Hills (OH) Prediction
It's entirely possible that Anderson is overhyped but only time will tell. Coaches ranking them the #2 Division 1 team in Cincy should tell you that they obviously have some talent. It will be interesting to see what Ryle can do with them.

Newport Catholic 3 Beechwood 2
You mean the state champs or another team?
-
Covington Catholic at Walnut Hills (OH) Prediction
I believe you are talking about Ibrahim Goumballe (no idea if the spelling is correct)
-
Covington Catholic at Walnut Hills (OH) Prediction
Yes, I believe this is their second game after tying Wyoming 0-0. Wyoming is #3 ranked in Division 2 in Cincy. Looks like Wyoming has also tied Anderson on Tuesday so perhaps Anderson isn't all they are cracked up to be either.

Covington Catholic at Walnut Hills (OH) Prediction
Hopefully CCH is ready to play in this game. Last year was a 7-1 rout by the Colonels so I'm guessing Walnut Hills may be looking for a little payback.
-
Anderson (OH) at Ryle Predictions
Possibly but supposedly they have beaten Lakota West, Summit, LaSalle and Fairfield in pre-season scrimmages so there must be something there. CCH will see them in about a month.
-
Campbell County at Cooper Predictions
Not sure if both teams are at full strength, but I'll go with Campbell County by a goal in this one, 3-2.
-
Covington Catholic at Walnut Hills (OH) Prediction
I'd agree with that score, assuming CCH can connect the dots and avoid too much individual play offensively. Not sure if Ibra is back in action for Walnut Hills or not.
-
Anderson (OH) at Ryle Predictions
Well, either Ryle is a lot better than I think or Anderson is a bit overhyped but I don't think it's that close. 3-0 Anderson
-
Newport Catholic 3 Beechwood 2
Pretty good result for Beechwood considering they didn't have a team 4 years ago.
-
Covington Catholic 10 Scott 0
Not a surprise really given their history but if that's the first red card of the season for them that's a big improvement over past groups/coaches.

NCC v. Beechwood (8/24/16) Predictions
NCC has played some weaklings so far as part of a pretty weak schedule all around but I'd still give them the edge in this one by a goal.
