I hear what you're saying and I don't disagree; however, let me pitch a devil's advocate scenario. Baseball is a funny sport and in my opinion, one of the only sports where anything is possible in a "single elimination - winner advances" game. Yesterday alone, Campbell County, Ohio County, Larue County and Logan County lost by a combined score of 41 to 4 in their regional games. The combined record of these schools is 92-55. Even good teams can get trounced in a single elimination game. It's not just the bad teams.

As an outsider, this seems like a great hire. Coach Turner had an impressive record at Lloyd. Best of luck to him and the Eagles.

Grant was successful at NCC and I believe it was surprising when he left there for Walton Verona. If I remember correctly, I think he then stated it was more of a "what's best for the family" move. I'm sure he's in a similar situation with this and he's doing what is best at this time. Great coach. I have always wondered though if he would ever join his brother's staff at NKU. Something to consider also. Good luck to Grant in his endeavors.

It's not a stretch to say he'll be CC's starting running back, they graduated many seniors and the upcoming senior class is very weak. To say he'll be one of the top RB's in NKY is a major reach. I hope you prove me wrong.

Actually, Oak Hills went 3-7 in 2018. Over the last 5 seasons, their record stands at 11-41-1.

I am not familiar with the Ryle program but after some quick research here is the state of the program for the past 5 1/2 years under Coach McFarland: Overall Record: 60 W 104 L 37% Winning Percentage Region Record: 34 W 64 L 35% Winning Percentage District Record: 16 W 29 L 36% Winning Percentage That's not very strong for a big school such as Ryle. Currently, if you have kids roaming the halls that should be playing maybe there's a bigger reason why.
