halfback20 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Giants get a 1st, 3rd and Jabril Peppers. Giants got robbed imo These moves make no sense. Trading for Zeitler makes me think they want to win now. Trading OBJ makes me think they're rebuilding.
oldgrappler Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Lots of bells and whistles in Cleveland. Mayfield, Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Perriman (4.25 40 yr dash), Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Callaway, Duke Johnson, TE Njoku. That's a lot of offense.
halfback20 Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Odell haul versus Antonio haul. Hmmmmm Agree the Giants did better than Pittsburgh but OBJ is younger. Only thing I'd worry about is injury history with OBJ. If healthy hes top 3 in the NFL imo.

Jim Schue Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Age 26 versus 30. He's 31 actually, and 5-10 receivers who rely on lateral quickness don't age well. And the Steelers were happy to take whatever they could get, I guess. I would've felt better with one of the Raiders' round 1 picks, but I'm just glad for the nightmare to be over. And now Steelers fans have a new nightmare to deal with: Cleveland being good.
GrantNKY Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 My biggest takeaway from this trade has nothing to do with the Browns or Giants. Pittsburgh got absolutely hosed in the AB trade. I get what happened at the end of the year with AB was a bad look for AB. The dude just flat out quit and the Steelers had to deal him. But it’s not like OBJ comes with no baggage himself. How does the top receiver in football only haul a 3rd and 5th while one of the best receivers in the game hauled a 1st, 3rd, and Peppers. I can’t imagine what’s going through the head of the Rooney’s right now but it can’t be a good night in that household.

AB is much more Larry Fitzgerald on the field than he is Ochocinco.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Lots of bells and whistles in Cleveland. Saw they are in talks with Earl Thomas now too.

I can’t imagine what’s going through the head of the Rooney’s right now but it can’t be a good night in that household. The Steelers had no choice. AB killed their chances of getting as much as they could for him. The whole end of the season drama. Then all the other stories to come out with how its been a problem for years that he shows up late to meetings, practices, game days, etc. Then when AB himself comes out and says I ain't playing unless I get that guanrteed money. Completely killed the value for AB, because no team was going to trade for him unless they knew AB would play for them. Meaning they also would have to give him the contract he wanted. Plus teams knew the Steelers couldn't really bring him back either, because everything about it was just bad. The Steelers literally had no leverage at all in their situation. While with OBJ I dont think many thought they would actually trade him. The Giants hand was not forced at all to make a trade. Which allowed them to get more of what they wanted.
sumoroyal Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Bengals destin for last place for the near future.
Voice of Reason Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Bengals destin for last place for the near future. There are a lot of key players out in Baltimore. Maybe the Bengals can finish ahead of the Ravens?
futurecoach Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Bengals destin for last place for the near future. There are a lot of key players out in Baltimore. Maybe the Bengals can finish ahead of the Ravens? So far the off season has not been kind to the Ravens and Steelers either. Cleveland is the only one getting better. Let's not forget the Steelers missed the playoffs last year even with AB having a huge year. The Ravens were led by their defense, and now they lost I believe 4 or 5 starters from that defense now. Sadly looks like the Bengals are buying the injury excuse from last year. When they were 4 and 1 before they got destroyed by injuries. Imo the Steelers and Ravens have gotten worst. While the Bengals have stayed the same and just relying on staying healthy and hoping new coaching works. I see it being one of those years like 2009 or 2011 where they surprised us, when everyone thought they be horrible. Or if could be the start of the new Dave Shula years. So hard to tell until we see exactly what Taylor does exactly. Either way though it looks like the division may now run through Cleveland.
