Couldn't watch tonight, reading the thread it seems we had a chance to put some distance between us and them but shot ourselves in the foot with penalties. 2nd half it sounds like we just got beat.

Ryle/Lexington Catholic Predictions
Defense will have to bring it this week for LexCath to win. Morgan is very, very good. It will be nice to see them tested by an offense this good to see if the D has truly improved since last year.

Lexington Catholic 51 Boone County 13
LBs played well. Boone scored on a kick return and against the younger kids in the 2nd half. Receivers were their usual dynamic selves. Donnie Morris had 9 catches for 91 yards and 1 TD, Chris Thompson had 2 TD receptions, and Andy Thompson returned a punt for a TD.

You need a lot more quality players to be competitive in football than you do in other sports.

What do you think of this quote?
Stays on the side of confidence and does not cross over to arrogance IMO. So it's fine to me.

Ryle/Lexington Catholic Predictions
This should be a very good game. I'll take the Knights in 35-28 game. Jaylen Jones, LexCath's best player, will be back from his injury for this one. Despite this being only the 2nd time these two programs will have played each other they should be very familiar with each other. Not only was Coach Engler at Catholic for 20+ years but the two teams played each other around 6 times in 7-on-7 this summer.

North Bullitt 37 Woodford County 32
Woodford has 3 D-1 guys and that's it. Even with a great offensive line if you don't have skill guys who can take advantage of it or a good defense then you will still struggle.

Lexington Catholic 51 Boone County 13
Just a mismatch of a game. I like LexCath's new helmets.

Lafayette 43 Dunbar 21
It was 36-7 before half when I turned off the radio. I'd imagine Lafayette got the running clock and pulled starters but that's complete speculation.

The Courier-Journals All-Metro Louisville Preseason Football Team
Don't know about the kid from Doss but Brents is super talented. Had offers from UK and UofL as a middle schooler and started as a frosh for a very good Manual team before transferring offseason. 24/7 has him ranked #38 in the nation for his class.

Ballard 13 Lexington Catholic 7 (Scrimmage)
Jones was held out. Brumbaugh played well after he settled down.

3A #2 Lexington Catholic/Boone County predictions
Star running back Jaylen Jones for LexCath is supposed to miss this game with his hand injury but I still predict the Knights to win.
-
Ballard 13 Lexington Catholic 7 (Scrimmage)
Final score of the varsity game (3 quarters) was 29-13 with a LexCath win. Both teams did a lot of subbing but it looks like both teams will be very successful this year. JJ Ogbogu had 3 long TD catches for the Knights, he's going to have a huge season.
