Not sure who will win it but the two "mountain" teams, Johnson Central and Sheldon Clark, have played well. Mason Blair (not Braxton) 2017, has been on fire in the pool play. Good looking sophomore-to-be.

Interesting rosters especially for the East. No Will Parker of Male, No Waynie Sutton of Manual, No Brent Kidwell of Collins and only one Trinity player? How were these rosters chosen?

Anyone know if the school has been repaired? Will they be able to get back in Sheldon Clark?

Lawrence County filled their head coaching position by hiring former Bulldog (1999) Travis York. York inherits a very talented bunch of kids. They had no seniors on last years team and started all sophomores and freshman. The Dalton boys head a returning starting five that had four players average double figures. I think it sounds like a good hire for them. They should be one of the favorites to win the 15th. Lawrence County has never made the Sweet Sixteen. Be nice to see them finally breakthrough

LexCath did have some quality wins last season beating Doss, Manual, Lafayette (twice), Boyle County, Lincoln County and Knott County Central. They did lose Dence who was their big rebounder. They may struggle with teams with a big inside presence but Tanner and Jarod are quality players who can light it up. Always a very basketball savy team.

IMO, I think it will be more of a tossup. I believe that Bo will be able to take Drew away from the basket enough that if Drew doesnt come out he can hit the three and if he does come out CVH and Cooper can drive to the basket. Grant is super solid too. Its a cant miss game when these two get together.

I dont care if he is the next coming of John Stockton. His mere presence on the team undermines the loyalty and dedication that the current seniors on this team have shown to the school and program for three years. And you thought they didnt get the ball to Raymond enough last year, well good luck at him getting more looks this year with a kid like that.

2015 6'3" PG/SG D'Angelo "the ticket" West. Out of Jackson (Provine HS), Mississippi. Lefty avgeraged 22.1 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals as a junior. Ranked the #8 player in the state of Mississippi. I detest these kinds of transfers. How does an inner city kid from Jackson, Mississipp end up at a private catholic school in Kentucky? Who in the world is behind making something like this happen? You gotta know the parents of the kids at Trinity are not liking this at all. This year it looks like Trinity would have five senior starters that have been brought up in they system for three years and have paid their dues to start. Now you have a kid like Jax Levitch that will be the sixth man again when it looks like he would start. It not only affects the Levitch kid but the Theineman, Stafford and Ramser kids too and their future potential scholarships. When u get a kid like this coming in and starting and taking shots and points away from those other kids who have earned their right to start and play and try to get a scholarship at the next level. They would probably be top five in the state anyways without the transfer. Shame on you Trinity.

The website for the tournament shows 17u semifinals as TheVille and the Prospects but nothing else after that. No result from that game or who won the 17u.

What happened here? It looked like we were finally gonna get the Prospects and TheVille playing each other. The matchups between these two teams and the intrigue would be juicy.

Thieneman is a very nice fit with the Louisville Prospects. Just what they need.

According to the Louisville Prospects website the team is also adding Caleb Sheffer of Larue County to the roster.

No Spalding or Rose

Not a knock but he will need to work to harness the aggressiveness. It gets him into foul trouble when he just muscles to the basket and knocks players down. Wayne County did a great job of getting in front of him. They dont call those fouls in AAU ball but they do in KHSAA.

Deadly bunch of 3 pointer shooters. Prospects and WKy Elite were probably are probably two of the best shooting teams around. If these teams only had a big guy....
