  1. Maybe they are reporting based off of score feeds to the local paper....
  2. Q&A | Jeffersontown basketball?s Johnson talks title, form and math | USA Today High School Sports | USA Today High School Sports
  3. I believe he is doing everything coach Moody is asking of him... Haters are going to hate no matter what a kid does. AAU mindset would have had him playing with another high profiled team his Sr. year instead of staying at Jtown. Instead he has played where he started his career and is working towards team & personal goals. It is easy to sit behind a profile & criticize but you truly don't know much about his/Jtown situation.
  4. "MTN BBALL" says Johnson should get his team more involved.... He must not have seen the kid or team play. He is not the point guard on this team, he is probably the tallest person on the team. He is just playing his game, not forcing his shot. When Jtown runs sets, they are mainly for Johnson but he know how to find the open man if needed. He is shooting nearly 45% in 3s and now is getting to the basket because of his outside shooting. Johnson is basically playing the role Jtown needs him to play. The only returning starter of maybe 2/3 others that should be playing on the Varsity level. The season isn't going the way he expected his Senior season at Jtown would be but know owns Jtown records on 3s per career, and is climbing KY record of 3s per career. Plus he has opportunities to further his career at the next level (which would be a goal accomplished). Plus if you seem him on the AAU circuit with TheVille 2015, you would have seen he is a team player to the max, and playing with Jtown is no different.
  5. I would not feel comfortable with statistics kept by parents. Johnny's numbers would be inflated (just my thought). With the number of coaches on some teams bench, I would expect 1 of them to keep the statistics.
  6. If all schools do as required, the statistics that come from the process is better (which promotes the kids & schools).
  7. Rebound leaders as of 12:00 today....
  8. It seems the district seeding for the 24th District is as follows: Head - To Head results Records vs common opponents in 6th/7th region LIT ratings Just looking at that, 1. East, 2. Fern Creek, 3. Jtown, 4. Whitefield. Last nights results could have been interesting. Jtown pushed East to the end last night. If Jtown would have won (still can't finish games in the 4th) with the Creek loss, Jtown would have been the #1 seed, East #2, WhiteField #3, Fern Creek #4. which would have resulted in the same match ups in the first round.
  9. I was thinking Whitefield would possibly win a district game because they returned some players from last year that challenged East, Creek, Jtown. The creek loss makes for a 3 way tie for 2nd place in the District.
  10. Sutton is a beast for manual. The kid just plays hard all the time. Johnson from Jeffersontown also had a good game
  11. I expected that before the season started .. That is a major loss for Doss not to have Jefferson on the court. Opens up the 6th region tournament based on match ups...
  12. I would not have issue with Cameron Justice winning it... But I believe Jalen Perry of Ballard deserves it. The kid played in the shadows of 2 major D1 players (Snider, Martin) for years. This year Ballard is doing good things because of him and against tough competition.
  13. yes... Coach & Son are involved with the Retros...
  14. UPDATE: Father, son arrested following postgame assault of baske - wave3.com-Louisville News, Weather & Sports
  15. WOW... Doss can only get better by getting rid of the problems within...
  16. 3 Trinity, 1 Male, 1 Jeffersontown, 2 Knott Central, 1 Clinton Co, 1 Collins
  17. When did Calipari re-classify?
  18. WAVE : Doss parent accused of assaulting basketball coach
  19. Sad, sad news.. This kid played for Ballard his freshman & sophomore years, then transferred to Doss because he didn't make the Varsity cut. I guess he now he not really in Coach Williams rotation, so father got mad...
  20. If seems that Whitefield beat Southern in overtime (although Whitefield schedule is questionable for a ranked team). I would placed them above Southern. If they beat Jeffersontown this week, Moody's future should be questioned. Jeffersontown program has fallen on hard times and there is nothing major in the system for the future. Southern has a good week of basketball this week. Hope they do well. Doss has got to figure things out before tournament time. Hope those guys come together or PRP will represent the region for a 3rd year in a row.
  21. This is a weird game to pick. Waggener doesn't have the coaching to take their guys to the next level (unless is comes from behind the bench). But this match up provides intrigue because of the number of AAU players represented. but given the size that Waggener has, I pick them by 5.
  22. Is Patterson the big guy for Whitefield?
  23. Eastern has some weird losses. With 2 D1 signers, they should be challenging teams, seems they can't get over the hump...
  24. After the fact (Jtown lost this game), Jtown does not have the fundamentals necessary to be competitive. Johnson has to do too much for this team. They are going to be hurting next year unless transfers or guys step up and work on their game.
