A TD and XP amount of predictions for this "titanic-struggle": 1. SK will win the game Friday night by 2-3 TD'S, Highlands will keep it close for longer than some people expect. 2. Within 24 hours of the game ending, the game thread will be closed, and multiple suspensions will have been handed out on here by Guru and the rest of the moderators. 3. Before one of said suspensions are imposed we'll never hear the end of how this one game and what takes place in it erases over half a century of football prominince and now makes said program meaningless. 4. One programs fans will remind everyone how great they have been for over half a century and then get upset, a justified upset, when someone calls that ancient history. That will get real ugly and childish by the end of it. 5. Waking up on Saturday and scrolling through the game thread, that will be either shut down or getting close will be funnier than the Saturday morning cartoons we all watched as children. 6. The game will mean absolutely nothing to either teams chances and hopes of winning a state championship, which neither team will do. 7. The game will mean abxolutely nothing to either teams chances to get to Bowling Green and play in the state championship game, which neither team will do as well. It's a football game ladies and gentlemen. It's two very good programs. It's one thing to root for your schools and communities, and no need to take it farther than that. Good luck to both teams, it's the game NKY has wanted for years, enjoy it.

That was a 15 round title fight. Both players were out of this world that night. Arrez just had a little bit more help.

I'll say this, 09 Holmes won the State Championship game with Ricardo Johnson spending most of the night on the bench in foul trouble and Elijah Pittman fouling out in overtime. The "supporting cast" them two had was unbelievable.

I still think Henley has to be mentioned in the coaching part. 4 regional titles. State Final 4 State runner-up State champion And all these happened 3 years in a row. They were one the few teams ever to make 3 straight final 4's and I believe the only 9th region team in history.

One special week in March, that's the whole history. Won the state title and it should be and is recognized, its has been and always will be a great accomplishment, but the best history is Holmes and CCH.

Best Histroy - Holmes and CCH Best Players- Every School pretty much has one or two great ones. That's open for huge debate. Coaches- Reynolds Flynn, Shields, Moat Hils, Henley, Ruthsatz is well on his way to joining this list. Cinderella Runs- 91 Holy Cross first thing that comes to mind. State final 4 team, upset top 2-3 team in state (Holmes) in the regional final. 81 Simon Kenton would have to be mentioned as well. Underdogs- once again I'd say 91 Holy Cross. Best stories- How John Wooden started his coaching career at Dayton High School. How Holmes was robbed of the 78 title. How three teams in the same school district are now in three different regions.... Nevermind that is just a odd story.

And this explains why Brad Carr and Jeff Trame teams constantly click at the right time, early on in the season these teams seem to be figuring things out. Towards the end they are both always tough out in the 10th.

The group of athletes going through Scott right now are some very special kids. A lot of these young men were on last year baseball team, soccer and football teams this past fall and the basketball team this past winter. Everything considered that is a lot of success, especially with 2-3 sport athletes. Good luck to the Eagles next week.

There will be no high school baseball at Meinken this season. The field should be ready to go by the all-star game so the Reds can show it off. Also, because of some grant the school board obtained the field from the city. It is now owned by the Covington Independent Schools.

Scott plays anyone who is any good in the 9th not named NCC, plays all the good teams in the 10th as well. They actually have a pretty good schedule. Kentucky Wesleyan has shown interest in him.

Doesn't surprise me for three reasons: 1.Holmes used to be the biggest school around and top 2-3 in the state. Talent pool was a lot bigger just based on numbers. 2. Booher/ Listerman have been a lot more offensive minded coaches than Henley ever was ( neither way is wrong IMO) and Beetle has benefited from this. They have tried to play the game at a faster pace, which equates to more shots for everyone. 3. Of the players mentioned Beetle is the only one who had a 3PT line. The kid is a great player and one the best talents to ever come out of NKY but when you start making shots worth 1 PT more the total should be higher. Regardless he is has been a great player and I hope he gets to 2,000.

That would be incorrect. The teams in the 37th district use 10th region refs, besides Silver Grove. The only times those teams see 9th region refs is when they play road games in 9th region gyms.

WOW! That's mob like business right there. What was started, or thought to be as an incredible idea for NKY and the 9th region has turned into nothing more than a money grab by the BOKC and the group that runs it. The original premise of playing the regional in a state of the art facility that can hold big crowds on a college floor to prepare the champion for Rupp is no longer the goal of this. The goal now is plain and simple how much $$$$$$$ can they make? People really need a reality check with this. This is still high school sports. Every year there seems to be some issue concerning procedures that come from this event, and that is sad. This is the biggest high school event in NKY every year and has been for a long time. Where it is held won't effect that. Let the schools broadcast games, let people take pictures, get rid of $8 cheeseburgers and $4 bottles of water. Tell the BOKC to lighten up or take it back to the high schools. Them exploiting kids and making the amount of money they do is no different than rogue AAU coaches.

Ohmer was his normal self. Got a huge help tonight from Witherspoon who had 14 points and 10 rebounds. He's undersized but plays a lot bigger than he really is.

I would like to see Brad Carr or Mike Code get a chance to coach in Rupp Arena.

Every team is guaranteed 4 games in 4 days. This is a very nice tourney. Since his arrival at LLoyd coach Key has turned this into a very nice event in NKY.

Scott doesn't do that. They bus to everything they do.

He played for Carr many moons ago. Seems like he does a pretty good job of understanding the kids and communicating with them.

The reasons Hatton does not have more offers is simple. You are what you can guard. Lot of college coaches worried his lack of quickness can hurt him defensively.

I don't know which player I would have taken, both were really good. However I do know which one is a college athlete, and which one I am tired of hearing how good an athlete he used to be. They also both have themselves to credit/ blame.
