Those jobs are all over the place. And numerous head coaches make over $100,000+ which is pretty dang good money for a teacher. Heck, I'm just a lowly Linebackers coach and I get more than the head coaches stipend in Louisville. As far as cost of living, unless you live inside the 285 perimeter it's pretty close plus I can get a lot more house for my dollar down here. And as far as retirement, we have one of the best in the nation. But to each his own. I prefer coaching in Georgia but my heart belongs in Kentucky.

Yes, I've worked at several of them and they are usually filled with kids that will not receive an offer even if they go to every camp in America.

He's got North Gwinnett rolling down here. That would be surprising to me to see him leave right now.

At least down here they already know who they are going to hire for most teaching and coaching jobs before they even post it.

Sounds right. I believe Ken retired last year and Kyle's still coaching down here in Georgia. Sorry to derail the thread. I really hope the new coach can do some good things at Waggener. I good football team can mean a world of difference to a school.

2a Buford High School which puts out a ton of D1 talent every year and go undefeated most years.

If they did that to me I would probably walk unless I got some reassurances that the bull crap is cut out from the admins.

Great athlete but he doesn't play very disciplined on the O side. I still like Noel Devine's or Reggie Bush's better.

I'll also add that team numbers can be very misleading. The best team in the state of Georgia always has 100+ kids on the team but only plays 15 of them in every game until they are blowing someone out.

Some kids thrive in that situation.

That's just a way of life in football. Each class seems to diminish as the move up. Usually because kids see the writing on the wall that they won't get much playing time. When I was a freshman at Trinity we had 110 kids come out and each year that number got small and I think we had 30-35 seniors when I graduated. The school I'm at now will have 50-60 kids on the freshmen team but we seem to keep about 20-25 of them by their senior year. It's just the way it is. I will say that the more you win the more kids wills stick around just to be a part of a winning program.

That's not a bad ratio imo. The school I'm at has 3000 and about 150 kids in the program 9-12.

It was something about being roped off in the gym and not being able to walk around in it.

Okay, the way I read your other post was that you weren't surprised Trinity treated them poorly.

Pot stirring's not my game. I've never heard of anyone else complaining about the way they were treated while being hosted by Trinity and I was curious as to why he would say he's not surprised.

Care to elaborate on not being surprised?

Someone from BG on here said they weren't treated with very much hospitality that last time they played at T.

For me as a coach it's a safety issue. I want to sub as many kids as I can and get them all playing time but I don't want to put in my 3rd and 4th team if the other squad is going to leave their starters in because my kids will possibly be miss matched.
