Does the state of Kentucky require you to pass standardized tests to graduate? I know in Georgia you'll see a kid switch to a private school his/her senior year because they can't pass the Graduation Tests.

They're are running a version of the spread now or so I thought. What kind are they running?

Holy crap that's young. I'm sure he knows the game inside and out but there's so much more to running a successful program. I hope there are some people in the building who can help him out.

I was thinking the opposite about the Ohio teams since they get a higher standing if they beat someone of Trinity's ilk. And I don't get the other teams not wanting to play Trinity since it's they have a legit shot to beat them. Why not take the large gate they the Rocks will bring and enjoy an exciting game.

Why do these teams not want to play T? Especially Elder and Cincy St. X?

I will say that I've seen quality coaches take over winless programs and turn them around in one season. Maybe not playoff quality but they'll win 3-4 and be competitive in the rest. The best case I've seen is when Valdosta HS ran Mike O'Brien off because he didn't win state and he took over a team that had gone 0-20 the two previous years and went 5-5 the first year and made the playoffs his 3rd year going 8-3 so it can be done. But you're right about players being the #1 factor. You can't win without talent. I've seen coaches go 0-10 at one school and then turn around at their next school and roll off 3 straight state championship.

Trinity seemed a little down this year with the combination of X having a great year. I was surprised to see the game so close but you can never tell with a rivalry game.

We actually have a few schools in Georgia who play no region schedules. They usually play teams that are just a few years old or some smaller schools that they can compete with.

The point still stands. They should be counted just the same as everyone else.

Get out of here with this crap. Some of my best players are in special education and I have even more stud players who are on free/reduced lunch. Why the heck should they not count towards enrollment?

As a football coach, we care about the gate. We can't stand playing teams from Atlanta because they never bring folks and it can end up costing us money in the end.

Why didn't he play more as a freshmen? And I have his cousin on my team. Kid is going to be pretty dang good himself.

Maybe things have changed since I graduated from Trinity but I was one of about 5 kids on the team that wasn't Catholic.

What happens to the kid that weighs more than that? Do they have to play on the line or something?

We didn't have to at Trinity either.

You can set up a pay pal account and collect all of the money but you can't see if the kids actually sent out all of the emails they were supposed to or not.

We use this and have raised a ton of money off of it each of the last 3 years. But then we couple this with selling discount cards or books.

We'd be in some trouble since we cut on the backside of plays quite often.
