If Male’s field is not ready my prediction is Southern. I understand Male will not play at Trinity and Trinity does not want to “flip” the schedule leaving Marshall Stadium with three varsity games in 2026. Male is expected to announce on Monday.

My recent research shows Mount St Joseph, a DIII program, only has 1800 seats on home side only! Can someone confirm? My records indicate Moeller has 6 wins: 1997, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2022. Trinity has 4 wins: 2011, 2017, 2019, 2020.

The stats are posted to Riherds Scoreboard! Zane Johnson was 4 of 5 passing with 4 tds and 114 yards. Trinity rushed twice for twelve yards and one td. PRP had -29 yards rushing and positive 38 yards passing. Running clock with two minutes shaved off third and fourth quarters. That makes it difficult to get the back ups playing time but it is a plus for the RPI! ?

Johnson student athletes are choosing Male over Butler these days. Back to Trinity vs PRP. I understand PRP lost 17 football players to Valley and Butler recently. PRP did reach out to Trinity for sdding this game to schedule this year and next. I am still hoping to see stats posted at Riherd’s site and/or on Trinity’s Twitter account. I was pleased for Trinity to see the turnout last night. The “white out” was a success.

I look forward to the demise of the crowned Maxwell field! Maybe JCPS will get around to additional lighting. It is apparently quite difficult to see if field goals are good.....from the field as well as the stands!?

Trinity joined KHSAA in 1954: Baseball 1, Basketball 2, Soccer 2, Wrestling 3, Track and Field 4, Tennis 6, Golf 7, Swim and Dive 10, Cross Country 20, and Football 29 for a total of 84. St. Xavier now reflects 202 team titles (KHSAA membership beginning in 1920) including 61 Swim and Dive, 29 Tennis, Cross Country 24, Golf 21, Soccer 19, Track and Field 15, Football 15(including 1956 and 1957 pre-playoff tittles)Baseball 9, Basketball 4, Wrestling 3, 2 Indoor Track and Field for a total of 202.

IMG runs three separate football teams. They have a local team, a state team, and a national team. I hope things go smoothly for him but don';t be shocked if he's back in the CAL backfield this fall.

Research shows Mr. Tinius is Bowling Green High School Alumnus. Coached Ladies Soccer at Bellarmine and assisted at WKU. Very interesting.

My guess is this will be settled out of court and the expense of insurance companies. A change in assistant coaches may or may not be forthcoming.

Of course it varies somewhat year to year, the actual dress list has been cut by Trinity after the covid deal. It is usually around 75. That leaves about 15-20 sophomores/juniors off the dress list. St. Xavier is very similar, maybe averaging 10-15 more players. An extremely talented freshman can make the varsity travel squad. This past season saw one Trinity kicker on the varsity until the playoffs. For what its worth, the St. Xavier enrollment is around 1,100 and Trinity's is near 1,200.

As I understand, there are not too many Kentucky programs reaching out to Trinity. In the recent past, Trinity has offered to pay for visiting teams transportation and a meal while they visit St. Matthews.

For those interested in Spring Practice: From KHSAA: Each football school may conduct ten (10) spring practice periods of not more than two (2) hours in length and not more than one practice per day over ten (10) days during three consecutive calendar weeks, which shall be chosen by the school Trinity submitted April 7 through April 25 as their choice this spring.

My understanding is Station dropped Trinity so they could pursue "bowl game" alternatives.

I always enjoy looking ahead. Looks like District 5 (Trinity, Ballard, Eastern, and Oldham County) will play District 6 (Ryle, Great Crossing, Simon Kenton, and Campbell County) in the first two rounds in 2025. These districts will represent Region 3 (eastern half of Kentucky). This sets up possible games between Douglass, Trinity, Great Crossing, and Ryle in round three. Male, Manual. or St. Xavier may be opponent in fourth round. RPI will dictate who and where after first two rounds. Beginning of the next campaign is less than six months away!
