Looks like the Colerain jinx is alive and well. It seems like every time Cincinnati Colerain signs to play what Ohio would refer to as a "Harbin Cow," the supposed "Harbin Cow" have a bad season. This is the second year of Trinity's contract with Colerain and so far it looks like the Rocks second sub par season, at least in the number of wins Colerain needs from a "Harbin Cow"

I heard that a lawyer for one of the schools, which must remain unnamed because the players are under 18, threatened to take the KHSAA to court if they released any more information before the final hearing.

At one time, like the 1930's and before, they were the Blue Devils, like Dayton is the Green Devils, but some of the locals did not think they should be Devils so it was changed to Bluebirds. Not so devilish.

I was a bit disappointed with the website at the above link. I guess I expected to get directions to Trinity when I clicked on directions, not Cincinnati St. X. I need directions to Trinity for the game this friday, not Cincinnati St. X, I know how to get there.

As a long time Colerain fan and observer since the late 1970's. I know that Colerain has had problems with discipline especially when they get frustrated. I have a feeling that the Cards will try to use their power to "cram the ball down the throats of the Shamrocks". I know that the Cards will come to play and just hope the Cards can keep it close and remain in the game until the fourth quarter when as we all know "the fourth quarter is for keeps" Go Cards. Remember a one point win is just as good as a 40 point one.

I caught the first half of the replay on ESPNU tonight at 6 PM HST (Midnight EST) in a sports bar in Kapaa Hawaii. Pretty neat watching Highlands on their big screen, even though there was no sound. By the end, of the first half, all knew about the Birds. I thought the UC team linemen looked completely gassed by halftime. #55 was over 300 lbs and going both ways in that heat. WOW. No wonder HHS did so well in the second half. Cannot wait to get home to check it out (with sound).

Max preps has Ensworth as #1 in Tennessee, #1 in Tennessee Class II-AA and #10 in the country. Looks like Trinity has its work cut out for themselves.

There is no second tier inn the GCL-S. The GCL has a second tier, but not in the GCL-S. The GCL-S as ggclfan says is a four team league. However, only three of the schools are DI, LaSalle has fallen to DII under the new realignment to 7 divisions.
