I knew that they had a few kids that did not play this year. Was there reason for that? Deciding to stay with one sport or what? Just seems that every year in the early season you look at the team and think MAN they have a bunch of talent on that team. They have size, speed, shooters and then they go less than 500!

WOW. Tough one.. Is it time for a coaching change at SK? Seems that there was a lot of talent on this team again this year. Disappointing year for SK IMO.

Good luck to the Bearcats.

8th grade girls Walton Verona 47 Twenhoffel 15

Final from Walton.

Is that Troy's son? If so, his dad and uncle were both excellent players. Macke will be there until something doesn't go their way and then they will probably abandon ship......

Has an MRI scheduled for today. Hoping for good news. Prayers to the Clink family.

The 2 best 8th grade teams in NKY are probably Conner and WV. THey played on Friday in a game that was scheduled early in the week with Conner winning. These 2 teams have played the last couple of years and a game was not scheduled this year but was added at the last minute. Apparently neither of these teams have had much competition this year. Walton plays mostly an 8th region type schedlue and does not play in the NKYMBL. Congrats to Conner.

Congrats to the Bearcats on a nice win. Congrats to Sophmore Austin Lay for being named MVP of the game.

Final from Walton. Worst officials I have ever seen!!!!!

Definitely not the best officiated game that I have seen this year to say the least. Bearcats played very hard on Senior night but come up short. Bye week coming up before playoffs. Congrats to all the Seniors on great high school careers. All of you guys will be missed.

Nice job by the Bearcats. Bearcats racked up some numbers on the ground. Had almost 300 yards rushing at half time!

Final

Final from LCA

Congrats to Aly. She will do well. She works hard and loves the game! That is a big step in the right direction right there. She is a very talented young lady. Good luck and keep working hard...

Grant beat Walton and that was a scrimmage. Lloyd is solid. I would be surprised if they don't win by 2 TD's. IMO definately a better team than Grant

Penalties and turnovers won't win you very many games. Bearcats have to clean it up. Looking to bounce back and get a win at Holmes on Friday night. Keep playing hard men.... Congrats to Holy Cross!

Lloyd takes this one by at least 2 touchdowns. GC will have no answer for #5 . I am guessing that #5 is about 6'-5" 215

I think that Owen will win the 8th as long as they stay healthy. I watched Toffness and the other guard (McDonald) play a couple times over the summer (Shining Star-Kinmon) and they improved their game. With the pick up of Dunaway I think that this may give them the edge. I do think that Dunaway will struggle keeping up with them but Carson will not have to guard the biggest kid on the floor and he will definitely help out on the boards!

Congrats to Carson and his family. Gets to stay home where everyone can come watch him play. Doesn't get much better than that!

Congrats to Coach McMillen on his first Win at Belleview. Good luck to the Tigers the rest of the year.

The Bearcats will bounce back this week after a hard fought game against Lloyd. If they can clean up some of the mistakes they should be OK.

Is Trent a Jr?

Just seen on Social Media that Coach Stoops has awarded Cole Mosier a scholarship. Cole gave up other scholarships to walk on at UK to chase his dream. Congrats to Cole on working hard and never giving up when people said that he wasn't good enough to play at UK. Well done young man!

Prayers to Hoptown. May God place his hand on this community and give them peace.
