I believe that the Sluggers placed 5th out 64 teams that were in the tournament out in Colorado. Maybe FBD can give us an update on how the Sluggers are doing this summer so far? :thumb:

IMO, She is the 3rd best player in the program right now! Not sure who is better other than Ally. Again, JMO.

Guard / Forward combo. She is a nice player. Shelby is probably in the 5'8 to 5'9 range and I am guessing on that.

Shelby is a really good kid. Good luck to her at SK and IMO she puts them as the pre season favorite in the 8th.

Heard the SK will be getting a girl from the same district just a little ways down the road. Not sure if it is a done deal yet but if it happens I think that they would be the favorite in the 8th.

I think that this started back up last year or this is the first year. They played each other twice for a gazillion years and then stopped and have picked it back up. New head coach Woody McMillen will do a great job there. May take a while but he will get the job done. Great person. Bellevue got a steal there!

If he does transfer IMO they are the favorite in the 8th!

I am guessing somewhere around 6'5" Owen also had a freshman last year that was very raw basketball wise but was 6'8"ish.

Place was full last night of Fastpitch Softball. There were more teams there last night than in years past. Of course the Bandits have 100 teams!:lol2: What does everyone think? Good and Bad...let's hear it!

I would have loved to make it to this. River City league is on Wednesday night!

I think that you are stretching Colton a little. Not quite that tall but 240 easy! Great kid. Is going to be a good football player for WV.

Michael is a great kid and basketball player. Comes from a great family. He would definitely help Owen and Carson out. He would add that finisher on the other side of the basket when everyone is guarding Carson. Question is would he be able to keep up with the pace that Owen County plays? And I know that we don't even know if he is really going to Owen yet!

I can not remember his name but Dixie has a kid that can shoot it in. Played a very nice game when we played them last year.

That is what I have heard as well and not just at Owen. Happens at other schools as well. That is total :poop: in my book. This is high school and the best players should play no matter the age! If I have a 7th or 8th grader that is better than a Jr. or Sr. then I guess they should have worked a little harder.

As for the play at 1st. Bin caught the ball 10 feet down the line and right on the baseline. By rule the hitter must give way to the fielder in that situation. This is interference on the runner even if she is running on the baseline. The onus is on the runner to run around the fielder so as not to interfere with her. Either way the umpires rule one team is not going to be happy, as far as I'm concerned it's over and done with, time to move on. Was interference called or was nothing called at all since she caught the ball? Just wondering...

IMO one of the better defensive players that Owen has!
