  1. Congrats Hannah. Not to bad for a softball player! :lol2:
  2. Congrats to Kyle Kinmon on a great game last night as well. I am glad to see some shots fall for him. He is a really good kid.
  3. Congrats to the Bearcats on a nice run. Congrats to Owen on the win and good luck in Frankfort. Carson is a really good player. There is not a team in the state that he would not start on. He is a Jr.16 years old? He has a little bit more time to get his game in shape...LOL.... There is a reason that he is the #4 rated Jr. in the state of KY and the best player in the 8th Region. He is BLUE COLLAR...
  4. Conner 8th grade boys defeat Walton. This is the first loss for WV boys this year. Not sure how good this group is. They play a pretty light schedule from what i can see. Only team that they have played so far is Twenhofel. Any details on the game? I know that WV has another tough game next week against Gray.
  5. Good kid and good football player. He would be the best Freshman lineman for sure at Walton. He will be a fantastic player when it's all said and done. He did not play basketball this year and you can tell that he has really started packing it on in the weight room. Freshman class is pretty solid at WV!
  6. Final from Bedford. Congrats to Coach Clink and staff. Bearcats get the victory after falling to the Lady Raiders earlier in the season. Will play the winner of Gallatin County / Williamstown on Friday night.
  7. Not 100% sure but I think that this is Kayla Krohman. Freshman guard for SK. Heck of a player.
  8. I am sure that when Scott goes to SK and has 8th region officials they think that it's 8 on 5 as well. Teams half to adapt to the way that the game is being called. If they can't adapt to different officials then they will be out early when the Region rolls around! The officials probably called the game the way that it is supposed to be called. SK fouls a lot. They played extremely hard but they foul. Some nights it benefits you, other nights it don't. Congrats to Scott on a nice win!
  9. With SK being so full of D1 talent I thought they would be #1. (Please see SK Grant Co thread for reference) :lol2:
  10. Missed free throws were big for the Bearcats tonight. 7 or 8 missed is the first half and then a few in the second half. I thought that O. Dezarn and S. Beckham were very good taking care of the ball in the 4th. They did not panic! I thought that was very big for them tonight. Grant pressed pretty much the entire game and I am not sure that the Cats turned the ball over on the GC side of the floor! Mills was very solid last night and shot the Bearcats off with some wide open 3's. Ison was a beast as usual and was money from the stripe! She only missed 1 from the charity stripe and probably shot 12 or 14 free throws. Simpson with some huge rebounds and loose balls in the 4th. Grant Co. is very well coached! Coach West does an oustanding job. IMO one of the best in the 8th. They will be a tough out for whoever gets them in the first round of district play. Harmeyer and Wright both his shots from Owenton last night!
  11. Walton-Verona 59, Grant County 54 Walton-Verona - Beckham 1 1 3, Dezarn 2 3 7, Mills 5 2 15, Ison 3 13 19, Simpson 3 1 7, Anderson 4 0 8. Totals: 18 20 59. Grant County - Cummins 1 2 5, Wright 3 0 8, Harmeyer 6 0 15, Kearns 2 1 6, Chaidez 1 0 2, Ruebusch 2 12 16, McCoy 1 0 2. Totals: 16 15 54. Halftime: Walton-Verona 30-23. 3-pointers: G 7 (Harmeyer 3, Wright 2, Kearns, Cummins); W 3 (Mills).
  12. Good List: You can also throw in the following names. Bart Noe Bart Bresser - Could absolutly jump out of the gym Kyle Bennett Kevin Martin - Could flat out shoot it from anywhere once he stepped in the gym Others that played baseball in college but were pretty good basketball players as well. Darren Poore Brant Poore
  13. Tony Wagner- I believe that he was 9th Region POY in 91.
  14. Final. Shea Evans hits a layup at the buzzer to lift Walton Verona over Trimble.
  15. Heard that Carson went down with ankle injury in that scrimmage and it is a scrimmage that don't mean squat.
  16. Congrats to Coach West and the Lady Braves. Any details on this one?
  17. Nice game by Elliott Brooke. I believe that he posted a double double last night and was probably close to a triple double. Keep playing hard Bearcats!
