I agree. If they want to contend for a regional title they need to step up their schedule big time. They don't really play anyone all year long. When you are already in a weak district and play each other two or three times a year you have to schedule some better competition.

That is life in the 31st District. Gallatin schedules basically the same way as Owen. They play 8 district seed games and try to have them finished by the All A. Their schedule really toughens up after the All A. And no, they are not smoke and mirrors. A legit region contender is what they are...

Heard that Carson went down with ankle injury in that scrimmage and it is a scrimmage that don't mean squat.

Yo Mama ain't crazy about having to play district teams twice per season either and I really think it needs to be changed to once per season but that's up the ADs. The score was removed after every quarter in the SK scrimmage and as I recall the Rebels won 2 and the Pioneers won 2. I'd say if the scores from each quarter were totaled SK won, but not easily. And yes Williams went out early in the night with an ankle tweak and I'll go ahead and say it before someone else does that the SK football players had just started playing roundball so the scrimmage may have not been indicative of anything to come. OC has beaten Grant 6-3 and Buckhorn 6-2. Grant has also lost to Male and Oldham and Buckhorn lost by 6 to Perry Central so I'd say those are 2 pretty good wins.

What I meant to say is if you have Carson Williams on your side you aren't "smoke and mirrors"...

No, Simon Kenton did not handle them "pretty easy" in a scrimmage. But its a good thing for steeltown44/ukfan#1's sake that SK gets their chance in a real game in about a month.

 

And, if Owen is smoke and mirrors, what does that make Grant Co? You know, since they beat them? Please.
