Big win for the Bearcats. LCA is a very good football team this year. The Bearcats have played hard, but fell short on a few games earlier this season. This will be good for the team heading into Districts.

That's the thing about young teams...unpredictable sometimes in a good way sometime not so good. It's the price of learning how to play the game and how to win at the varsity level. Tonight they figured it out! Great win for the young Bearcats! They comeback from being two scores down in the second half and go for two to take the lead 28-27 with 120 left in the 4th I believe. LCA shows no quit and marches the ball down the field with no timeouts to the Bearcat 20 yard line or so. t Halsey Paige then makes an interception to ice the game.

WV started out hot and scored two quick TD's to take a 13-0 lead over LCA. LCA battled back and took a 20-13 lead into halftime. WV received the kickoff in the second half and marched down the field only to have a 25 yd TD run called back due to a block in the back. A few plays later WV fumbled. LCA scored to take a 27-13 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Bearcats moved the ball down the field for a TD. After a strong defensive stand to force an LCA punt. WV got the ball back with about 5:30 to go in the fourth. They eventually punched it in with about 1:30 on the clock. Coach Barth made the decision to go for two and H. Paige runs it in to give WV the lead. WV decides to kick it deep and LCA runs it out to about the 35 yd line. With no timeouts and about 1:20 or so on the clock, LCA quickly moved the ball down the field. They were on about the WV 15 or 20 yd line with 25 seconds left and ran an out pattern the H. Paige made an unbelievable play on to intercept the pass to seal the victory.

 

The boys played hard and didn't quit. Big Moe was swinging in both directions this game for sure.

Big win for the WV! I was up north last but heard that Halsey page had a night. Big time for Wv, also considering that the sophomore standout, Catlett, was sidelined last night. More news on him should surface next week. Concussion protocol I assume. Would've been huge to have, you put him back on that defense with last nights performance, and WV is well armored to make noise in November!

I'm sure Coach Barth and the coaching staff are not concerned with November right now...they need to get there first. Catlett is a nice player and getting him back for next week will be important, however the sophomore to watch IMO is Hunter Micheal. He really made some nice plays last night on the defensive line. For a young man that started the season with some uncertainty about a position, I think he's really starting to come into his own.

Agreed. Both Catlett and Michael are good sophomores. The only reason I'd take Catlett is his technique, experience, as he started last year on that WV team. And otherwise, stats don't lie. Catlett has more tackles than the rest of his like combined. Both good players

Catlett did play last year eventually moving into a starting role by seasons end. Not sure about your tackle stats but I'm sure he has more tackles then the other sophomores at this point. As I mentioned....Micheal really began the season not really knowing what position he would be playing. He has come leaps and bounds so far this season. Those two are a good nucleus for a young defensive line.
