  1. I am going to try and phrase this correctly. Sometimes Neace doesn't pass the eye test but she does a damn good job of keeping the hits down to a minimum. Sounds like the walks killed her tonight. Hard to beat anyone with 6errors and 9 walks.
  2. Abby is a great young lady who can play some ball!!
  3. Highlands Coach Coffey decided even though the game was only in the top of the 4th that the game would be picked up where it was suspended at in order for the HR's the young ladies hit to count for their high school careers. I believe it was one of the ladies first HR for their career. That being said Boone came out and hit the snot out of the ball.
  4. Have seen St. Henry and NCC. Haven't seen HC so will go with a NCC vs St Henry final. I think its NCC bats against St Henrys pitching decides this game.
  5. Last season we went to Sioux Falls SD for the ASA Nationals and even as nice as their fields they were still multi purpose. I don't know how baseball classifications work but the 10 fields they had there could be used by both. The permanent fences were 250ft. Also it will take a culture shift that softball is not a part time sport.
  6. List your games this week and how you think you will fare.
  7. Where are the pictures?
  8. You could almost bet the house on who wins when that happens.
  9. Congrats Ali and the whole Ryle team!
  10. Yeah I think Highlands had 4 errors, that's 4 to many against a team as good as Notre Dame.
  11. The lady Birds come up short against Notre Dame. Smith pitched a good game and the Pandas kept Highlands from getting any thing going. Congrats Notre Dame.
  12. If my daughter gets a scholarship it will be for her stick, not that she is bad in the field. When she started working on hitting we butted heads as we were both learning about hitting at the same time. Now she is comfortable with her hitting coach so we just work on what he suggests.
  13. If you are truly serious about playing in college you should be on the best travel team you can be. Also should be taking private instruction. I do not work hitting with my dd except to be an extra pair of eyes to help fine tune her swing. She loves her high school teammates and plays her heart out to help her high school team but she will be seen far more during summer ball.
  14. I do see the point of if your building a less than stellar program up from the bottom that you don't want to get hammered by top teams every game. That being said you definitely need to play top teams to show your team what it takes to get there. Now if you are an average program or above then you need to play the hardest schedule you can. If you take some lumps you build off of that and move on and get better.
  15. Was a good game that could have gone either way. The next match-up should be even better. Glad to see Neace on the field and healthy.
  16. That's a very good win, Simon Kenton has been playing very well lately it seems.
  17. Is it possible to give multiple likes to a post? If so I would give this one a couple hundred.
  18. Highlands will have gone ten days between games.
  19. NCC is a young team who did not have the benefit of many outdoor practices before starting to play games.
  20. Anyone playing Saturday?
  21. The corners and pitcher should seriously consider wearing them. My dd made the decision to wear hers, we went back and forth on the issue a lot and her long term health outweighs anything else.
