Boone leading Highlands 7-0; suspended due to rain

Featured Replies

The Lady Rebels were spraying the ball all over the field and built a 7-0 lead with Dallas Knotts and Caitlyn Palmer both hitting home runs out of the park. Highlands wasn't able to generate much offense with Knotts on the mound. The game was suspended due to the storms that blew through and will be picked up where they left off at a date yet to be determined.

Highlands Coach Coffey decided even though the game was only in the top of the 4th that the game would be picked up where it was suspended at in order for the HR's the young ladies hit to count for their high school careers. I believe it was one of the ladies first HR for their career. That being said Boone came out and hit the snot out of the ball.

Very cool!

Who pitched for the Bluebirds?

Have any seed games been played in Boone's district yet?

Well looks like its time for you to get out your old Radiers gear, I am sure you didn't burn any of that!

What is the rule on this anyway. Is it up to the coaches how to handle the game? Either way it's great that coach Coffey did this. Nicest thing I can remember a cake eater doing!!

Ms. Palmer too. She can hit it to the next county. Kenton, I think it is.

This is a very deep/solid linup at Boone. Definitely put some power on display in this one (along with a couple of near misses). Kudos to coach Coffey.....first class.
